Installing Pat's Easy Change Quick Hitch System on the New Holland Workmaster 40

I saw a LOT of videos on KZbin and posts on forums about guys not having any luck with a traditional quick hitch due to variances in different brands of implements. Apparently the people leaving comments on this video haven't seen those videos. :) Maybe in the future I'll try a "normal" quick hitch to do a comparison! Great video idea!

I always liked my quick hitch, it fit all my implements, box blade, angle blade, tiller, chipper,, brushog, soilpulverizer, 3point disc plow 6'.

Good explanation the Pat's Quick Hitch. Mine is working great and save time each time I change implements. Not a fan of the spanner included but it's not a deal breaker.🤠👍

you can use a broom stick or a piece of pipe to align the Pat's quick hitch. you just bring your lift arms up to where they are level and put a piece of pipe across both hitches into the latches as if it was a solid hitch pin. then adjust the bolts to line them up straight. very easy only took me about 10 min to align and tighten up.

Some years ago there was supposed to be standardization for dimensions of three-point hitches. Some sort of SAE standard. Some companies ignore standards!

Nice. I bought Pats too since I have different brand implements. Curious to see how easy you find hooking up. I so far have struggled a little with mine. Not as easy as I have seen some people do it. I'm probably doing something wrong.

Pats is the way to go if you have older implements because the most old implements aren't a standard width and height like the new ones are

Ah, in my question regarding U bolt size, I should have also said for CAT One (1) hitch. My question was to determine dimensions, size, of original U Bolt.

I don't use the bar to keep the arms apart. I use a bungee and then adjust the width with the turn buckles of the lower links. Its easier that way

What size is the U bolt, dimensions? Some reviewers recommend upgrading U Bolt to Grade 8. To do that, one would need to know exact size of the original U bolt.

What is wrong with the turn buckle on the one arm of the lower turned out you can lift it up or left it down.

I have a box blade like yours but mine's boxed in where my pins are I have 2 inches of clearance would the Pat's hook fit for me

Why did you choose the Pat's Quick hitch over the regular 3pt mounted Quick Hitch.?

Unfortunately they extended the lower arms far enough so that my pto shaft no longer connected on my brush hog. But I believe that would have happened with a quick hitch too. So I will have to buy a longer PTO shaft now.

You can get a 4” pto extender for about 30$👍

there's a adapter that goes on the phone shaft, for a easy hook up. I'm buy both because they add about the same length to each.

I like my Pats make no mistake....but I came within inch's of disaster with them this year. While pushing back heavy snow banks one released and if I had not been looking back when it released it would have been bad....as it was I just managed to stop the tractor before the blade was rolled under the tractor. Heavy snow and just the right force WILL release them. Just saying

Four inches extended on the top turnbuckle so your turnbuckle is going to probably run out of threads

It took me less than ten minutes to unbox my quick hitch and put it to use. This thing looks far from easy.

I have been wanting to try Pats for a while now. Let us know what ya think. I have read mixed reviews on them and thats why i haven’t bought them yet
