Installing rear air bag suspension on 1964 Chevy impala

I installed rear air bags on my 64 impala. This is my first time working on an impala airbag suspension. Next week I’ll work on bagging the front end. I used airlift performance P3. With 1/4 airlines. I know I left out some info so just leave a comment question I’ll answer the best I can. Thanks for watching

Much cheaper. I ran into a couple problems this. The bolts that are welded in the brackets don’t have enough weld. So just add more weld to the bolt. The fittings that come w the airbags are not good so go purchase some quality fittings.

You should change the brass air bag fittings from a 90 to a straight up push to connect It makes it easier to run the air line less chance of kinks

I have bags on my 64. My bags rub on the rearend when air is released car settles down to lowest point. You have that issue ?

So I have a 3P Airlift setup that I’m putting in my 64 impala. First of all your video is going to help me a lot when I do it so thank you! Second, how do you like it with the airlift setup? I know it’s a slow 1/4 line setup but I just want a nice lay and play, is it TOO slow or good enough?

It’s slow but works well. If I did it again I would do 3/8 line for speed and one more 5 gal air tank. I’m going hydraulics now. I’m happy to hear this video will help. Let me know if you need more info.

You need to add some bulkheads on those line coming out the cars body the lines movement might cause it to cause a leak in the long rung. Bagriders has the 1/4 bulkheads you will need bro
