Thanks for the video. I made the job a bit easier by purchasing a reversible ratcheting 21mm wrench to get the three axle housing bolts out. I didn't need to take apart anything other than the control arms. Jacked up the Jeep and put jack stands on each channel/rail to hold the body up. Left the wheels on sitting on the ground. Royal PITA but slow and steady wins the race.

First of all great job. I have a 2004 WJ with 236k miles on it. The summer 2022 I had to replace the upper and lower control arms and bushings on the axles. I'm a novice mechanic and it was a very hard job for me. My rear suspension is in need of replacement I'm sure. The back looks very difficult so I applaud you. Again great job.

Tug, thanks for the video. I be on the ground this weekend doing this job. I like that you do not cut away when things are not going quite right.

I’m installing a 4’’ lift kit on mine. I’m not going to be nice to that upper control arm and ball joint. So with the new angles and everything. It’s time to replace with new control arms and ball joints.

Like your channel. I changed my rear suspension out including upper control arm about a year ago. Rebuilding Rear Differential, Dana 35 now.🇺🇸

I just changed these on my 99 wj but just recently bought core 4x4 Johnny joint rear adjustables that'll be a challenge. They are super heavy duty.

Did all my control arms this weekend. The rear upper was somehow the most difficult for me.

For some reason have had the same experience, on the zj & wj the upper rear arms are the most resistant to being changed out

HAHAHA calling oneself a mechanic definitely does not make oneself a mechanic,, very many unsafe vehicles on the highway because of hacks calling themselves such
