Thank you SO MUCH, for the kind words!! First of all, I'm old, LOL! I've had 5 Jeeps since I was 17 yrs old, all 2 doors. So, though I'm no expert, I have seen quite a bit over the last 30 + yrs, and learned a lot the hard way. My vids don't always resonate with viewers because I do tend to be wordy. But, I do that to TRY to make sure I'm getting all the points across. KZbin is a tool that people use, so I try to give all the pertinent information. Glad you like it. Thanks for the sub, and we'll see you on the next one!!

Love everything you said about budget. It blows my mind how much money a lot of people spend on off road gear and all these crazy mods. I have a 4runner and parts are even more expensive than Jeep mostly. I can’t afford to buy rock sliders that cost 700-1000 dollars. I don’t do insane rock crawling and need some kind of step for the girlfriend and my nephew and other family members. Gonna purchase these after seeing your video. They look awesome.

Yeah, I agree. They do hang a little bit, but it will help keep rocks off the underside of the rockers too. That's my hope, anyway. The riffs are still the lowest point.👍🏻

Great video! I installed these same rails on my 2dr JL. Only one of the front bolts gave me a very hard time getting out and I was very very close to break that body bolt.... Since I installed them, I can hear a terrible noise/rubbing or tweeking when driving. You mentioned to add bigger washers at front, and that fixed it? I want to do that but I'm very afraid to remove the front ones again. Based on your experience, is it easier to remove the front ones now because they don't have that red locktite or am I going to have the same difficulty?
@ShockWaveOffroad

Now, it (SHOULD) be much easier to remove the bolts. I HIGHLY suggest using bigger washers. Let me know how it goes!🤘🏻

How did you get the bolts back into the the threads. The rear bolt is a pain in the ass to get the threads to lock
@ShockWaveOffroad
@ShockWaveOffroad 2 жыл бұрын
It's difficult to tell whether the bolt is started on the threads. It's been a couple yrs, so I can't remember EXACTLY how I did it, but I'm pretty sure I just used the heel of my hand to apply pressure while I turned the bolt. Then used an impact to drive it on. @richard miller Good deal! I hate the hardware was lost, but that's part of it. Hopefully, they'll get tired of replacing hardware and package their big parts better. I agree, to a point. However, these sliders have taken every hit without issue. Sure, they've got a few dings and dents, but my rocker panels are unscathed, which is the whole point. I'm MORE than pleased with the durability of these sliders. Thanks for watching, and the comment!
