In this video I install RV windows in our Freightliner Columbia HDT camper hauler. I'm really pleased with the way it turned out and I wish we would have done it sooner. Thanks for watching and have a blessed day!

Btw since you've had your truck awhile is their anything you would've done different? Maybe went automatic?(hope not🤣) bigger sleeper with the kiddos? More power? Tandem axles? Longer wheelbase? Etc etc.....might make a good videos for us to watch 🤔😉
@GlennConner3 жыл бұрын
Me personally, I wouldn't want an automatic but I might would've had a chance at talking my wife into driving though. The sleeper seems to be as big as we need, with the generator on the camper we can stop and have all the amenities, so we don't need stuff like microwaves and fridges in the sleeper. I like the wheelbase for getting into those tighter campgrounds, but it would need to be longer for hauling toys on the back. I don't see a need for tandems, to me it's just 4 more tires to buy. I think my truck is set at 380 hp and for $1200 I can have it turned up to 475 hp I think. (Maybe in the future) but it has plenty. Thanks for the suggestion on the video. That's a good idea.

You are a brave talented soul to cut into the side of your truck like that. I like the wood reinforcements you fabricated. I have a 43' 2klbs Voltage and pull it with a single RW F350. If you had the choice of F550 with a tow body or an HDT would you choose the HDT again?
@GlennConner2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I would go with the hdt for my personal preference. I like the overall comfort, ride quality and space in our hdt not to mention the safety. But I am also confident and experienced driving semi's so I think that has to come in to play as well. The F 550 would definitely handle any camper just fine though.

You might consider reinstalling that vent below the window just so you can get some more air flow if desired.

Great job , I’d love to add a window in my 03 Columbia , is there anyway you could send me the link to where you got the windows and what wall thickness I need , thanks in advance
@GlennConner Жыл бұрын
I ordered them on ebay. I think the wall thickness was 2.25 inches if I remember correctly. Thanks

Thank you, I was on eBay looking and couldn’t find any that looked like the ones you installed but I’ll keep searching
@GlennConner Жыл бұрын
Yeah I think the last time I checked the seller that I bought mine from didn't have any more. I think they are called frameless rv windows and you'll order them by the dimensions you'll need.
@johnbeavers-iy4uv Жыл бұрын
@@GlennConner thanks for all the information, I’ll keep looking , most of the ones I’m finding are the ones that open up ( sliding style ) did yours pop open ?
@GlennConner Жыл бұрын
No mine do not open. I didn't want windows that would open with the kids in the back but it might be good for your purposes.

Hello Sir, nice video! We just bought a 9200 to pull our LQ horsetrailer with and would like to put windows in the sleeper, looks like you did yours about a year ago, how have they held up? Any leaks or anything?
@GlennConner2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, no issues that I'm aware of. I really like them. I didn't realize how much it would help being able to see beside of me and backing up in those tight spaces. Thanks for watching! If you have anymore questions let me know.

Cory did you get windows put in your 9200 sleeper? I am wondering how it went/how they are holding up
@SouthSideForge Жыл бұрын
@@hannahl8723 yes I did get windows in, got a set of single pain tinted windows off of ebay. They dont open or anything and I have my local steel shop make custom interior rings so I could put them in a inch thick wall. Used butyl tape on the outside. No leaks at all with about 15,000 miles on them!
