That is great More and more people are going to that More and more people are not afraid it works the only one I wouldn't recommend is the old man's mode if you want it the old man's mode I think you got to get go with the SL setup as opposed to coilovers most of us drive in a sport mode or the ABC mode That's just fine . I went to a suspension shop they charged me $659 , and I went with hiro coilovers, took it back to them once to have my height adjusted perfect

What are your plans for adding the sway bars? The Black series has steel springs with swaybars. Without the ability to tie the two sides of the suspension together could cause undesirable effects in a hard corner.

Great job, were you able to use the original serpentine belt? If not, do you have a part number for the new superintendent?. not looking forward to doing this on my SL55, however I know It.s time I.ve been putting it off, your video has gotten me motivated and a few helpful tips I forgot about. Thanks for sharing this information. I’m in Orlando and my friend has a beautiful low mileage 2003 SL500. He wants me to do this conversion. How much time would you allocate for this process?? Yes, I’m an experienced technician. Not sure it’s worth all the hassle???$$$. Although this car has had allot of money spent on repairing this system. New Year’s Eve on my way to take out my GF and the stupid line blew, on LR, a block from her house. Ugh.

Great job!!! Everything is more or less clear. Please tell me if you reused the original belt? You mentioned you need to measure it and then you didn't get back to this topic. I see you re-used the SL reservoir. That's cool. My SL has different engine, so I'm not sure if ML55 pump will fit there. I need to do a research to confirm whether it fits or not. If it doesn't, I may have to keep the tandem pump and loop the ABC lines.

Stock belt works Yes you can loop the old pump if needed

@@Nd_72 Thank you! I jus t contacted Gold Element Autoworks (they sell Silver's coilovers) and they confirmed that Sprinter PS pump should fit on my car OR I could just loop the existing tandem pump. We'll see. Again, I better start with converting CLS since I don't have to deal with any pumps there.

I am doing my conversion soon for my sl500, but I am not removing the tandem pump at the same time. Leaving that job for later because I'm doing at a mechanic. Do you have any recommendation if I'm doing the struts and leaving the tandem pump?
