That Minecraft launcher I opened at the end of the video finally opened to a white screen about 15 minutes later. I let it sit for a few hours and it did nothing so I gave up lol. Anyway, thanks for watching, I'm excited to torture more old tech

You can run this os with xfce or similar desktop enviroenment, eventually more ram, an cheap ssd and some removing of dust.

Fun. Yes, 1GB of RAM that is tough. Not sure if there is any swap enabled, but even if you do, it will be really slow. It should crash less tho, but will be snail speed probably even more. With 4GB RAM it should be somehow usable probably.

@@movax20h I thought about trying to check if swap was enabled actually. The thought of waiting (maybe) 36 hours for a terminal to open horrified me lmao(I know it would probably take less time…at least i would think). I did try settings and the thing froze before I could find anything useful. But if I ever make a part 2 to this, I will be way more prepared. Might even install an SSD and more ram like another commenter suggested

The problem why it hung after installation is that the Steam Deck mode needs vulkan to run and that ancient ATI gpu doesn't have vulkan so it cant load the Steam Deck mode
