The people who say, "if you're not going to do it right, don't do it at all" need to remember the name of the channel. There are plenty of other channels to watch for that stuff.

Regarding the seat, maybe just use the frames, cut out the springs, then replace the springs with a cheap memory foam twin mattress. Just cut and shape the foam to match the seat frames. You can get twin memory foam mattresses really cheap. And in the end after upolstering them, you would have a super comfy seat.

Unfortunately there are some people who think that every part of a build has to be show quality and they buy everything they need because they don't have the talent or equipment or time to fabricate what is needed. They don't realize where this hobby or way of life started and how things were done. Heck a lot of the top show cars from back in the day didn't even run and they were cobbled together so poorly that after a few years they literally fell apart. Cut body panels were held together by screws and plywood. Others looked good but nothing was functional and if they did run they were not safe for the roads but only enough to drive onto a trailer. Yours however aren't like that other than the yard art truck. Your work is fantastic.

Ingenuity & modding trumps money anyday. I'd rather watch Brent than other people, hotrodding is all out using what you've got & making it work together. Anyone can throw money at a project be it a car, house, garden or whatever. But nothing bears the feeling of being able to say I did that.

Let the haters line up and bid on it, so they can "do it right". I understand what you're doing; you have several levels of "good enough" and that's ok it's your time and other resources. This is more a level entry rat rod you can let go cheaper than some of your other stuff, maybe a younger guy could scrape up some bucks and play with it when you're done. Looks good to me for what it is.

because there is no "traditional" trans hump your gas pedal is too far to the right more than anything else. Love the fact that you are always putting another ride back on the road. Doesnt need to be perfect. Just needs to be a runner and safe.

It looks to me like if you could switch the clutch and brake pedals they would line up nearly perfect that would put the clutch pedal in a straight line and angle the brake pedal nearer to the clutch pedal lining them up much better then just heat and bend the accelerator pedal and everything would be pretty much where it should be (just my opinion)
