Last summer we had an intermittent Ducati (stock Rotax) CDI module on our S6. We chose the Ignitech option, and it's a good solution so far, cruising the Idaho backcountry. Having the modules mounted on our side of the firewall gives them a whole lot better operating environment. Might have a bit more RFI ignition noise on the radio, but it's minor and we can shield the modules if we think it's objectionable. Good to see othe r folks are having similar success with these. Ignitech shipped very quickly from the Czech Republic, no issues with payment, and their customer support is first class.

I have a Europa monowheel with 914, the modules are good so far but only 150 hours on em. I have heard the wires can break after some hours My late Dad would have liked your plane he used to own a 1958 Helio Courier had it on some tires from a Lockheed 10, had a stc for 35' by 16" 80 lbs. each. also Federal wheel ski's. Anyway having the right airplane can get you away from it all!

I have a set of those on my 912 uls the 12 volt option is nice I found I had a bad stator by using that setup along with a set of AC meters hooked to my stator wires to check voltage

Nice video, nice airplane too, hey I am in the process of installing a set if these Ignitech modules on my early 912, looking at your video they appear to be the very same units. I have a question for you, What is the yellow and black wires for coming from the small white box near the modules and going with all the wires through the looms out to where you connected up to original cdi location? And I assume you did connect to 12V through that switch to power them up, but if I were to use the stator feed do you know how that works? Thanks in advance, really likingbthe idea of having these things behind the firewall.

What do you mean about adjusting ailerons? Did you adjust them both down a little to get more lift ?

Did you get the cold start function to work very good on your install?

It starts better... noticeably. My older flywheel doesn't allow for as retarded of timing on start as it would with a newer flywheel. So I'm still limited... but being able to hold the time retarded until it reaches a higher rpm now helps it to start without the chance of a kickback, and it comes up from starting rpm (cranks at around 480), to idle rpm much smoother because the stock boxes go to full timing at 1000 rpm.. and now mine goes to full timing at like 2200 ish in a smooth transition.

I have the new flywheel on mine and I can’t seem to get any retard on starting is there a trick to it?

@@wreckum56 what generation ignition do you have? What plugs on the ignition boxes or what year is the engine?

It’s around a 2003 it’s the hour wire I believe
