This is the most high tech and sensible innovation in turntables to date. The way the suction keeps the record planted on the platter is amazing.

What is the over/under on the number of different tonearms that Fremer is going to use on this beast before they take it out of his house? 3, 4, 5? The Graham is a great arm.....but......I have to believe he is going to want to try other pricier arms.
@richardelliott83528 ай бұрын
I think fremer will pump this thing to enhance his credibility , because of the status of high price. He tells a good story, but their are seemingly no limits as to what he will say , like vinyl records need to be demagnetized , but only the black ones, and coloring the outside edge of a cd with a felt marker will improve the sound, to mention only a few instances of his questionable sonic expertise.

Buy this turnable before age of 30 Hopefully by the time you're 65 You may have it assembled and be lucky enough to hear your first record before they close the lid on your coffin.🙏
@richardelliott83528 ай бұрын
weird that it comes with a full set of Allen wrenches, which implies that the people paid to assemble the thing are going to be amateurs who are new to tools., but can be trusted to optimally assemble a half million dollar precision mechanism . the absence of a torque wrench among the supplied fastener tools is unusual for normal precision mechanical assembly. even my bicycle has torque specifications, although largely un-needed at that performance level.

Wow, what a technological tour de force, along with such attention to detail craftsmanship. I've noticed many of these marvelous playback devices don't have a dust cover. So my question, not meant to trigger anyone, but asked in sincere curiosity, how does one cope with the Coulombic Forces generated by spinning the pvc electrostatically charged disc? The reason I ask, I live in a forested area, and during Spring I have to use a woolen sock to wipe the tree pollen from my Valves, as a yellow film quickly accumulates. It would be a nightmare for a TT without a dust cover.

Some people require a yacht to get from here to there, others get there just the same in a row boat. Slap a fancy label on a bottle of wine, and even experts are fooled. this is not to say their is no such thing as reality, it just that the brain only evolved to value tools for survival , and interpreting things you might not have heard as reality was a lot safer than sticking around to figure out what is really going on. so , I some ways, this player might be like giving a monkey a race car. The equipment exceeds any possible need or reality.
@richardelliott83528 ай бұрын
A perfect illustration of how hearing is a process of the brain. this plaything of the super rich means nothing to me, except for being an interesting mechanical device to play records. because even before the cost is considered , human hearing is only subjective, it didn't evolve to test hi fi equipment, and has well understood functional limits.

All the comments none of them stating the fact this guy is missing the point that being a music lover is about the music not the gear!
@AmazonasBiotop Жыл бұрын
What does that really mean?? Some of my random thoughts about what that statement means: Does it mean get the great records and then play them on a Crosley Cruiser Plus Deluxe because it is about the music and not the gear. (Probably go lower range for the Crosley Cruiser Deluxe instead of the "plus" model. When it is for the sake of the music!) In return we probably damage our records but what don't we not do for our music! (Hmm that doesn't sound logical to me anyway.) Or does it mean that it is a physiological wording that I as individual feel better when I tell my self I am into it for the right reasons, or my personal enjoyment is greater than another ones because I listen to THE music and not the gear, while I no means to be able to get better gear I will tell myself that I am better off because of it. (Ah, a self comforting thought that may work) Oh, yes I understand probably the best defense mechanism and feel good strategy. It is ALL about the music!🎶🎵🥳
@richardelliott83528 ай бұрын
@@AmazonasBiotop I understood it to simply mean that one doesn't need to spend a half million dollars to play a record, making this product a touch excessive to the goal of musical enjoyment. . my own opinion is that if music were the primary goal , one could commission a musical work for all to enjoy through the ages , and still have money left over for a fine record player , for the kind of coin this player requires to own. it response to the somewhat snobby dig at low cost, low function record players, I would point out that hearing is a process of the mind, which has no ability for self awareness of brain functions. . it does have the ability to dream up illusions which , without testing, become your new reality. So in effect, if you think your record player is the best in the world, that is your reality. A cursory investigation into the way human hearing works, that it has no respect, nor need, for absolute reality might have you rethinking your position on ever better equipment without end.
