@@Venture2Roam I bought a ARB single air compressor to mount under the seat or in the engine bay, but the Amazon gods sent me an ARB twin air compressor with reservoir briefcase instead. I'm not upset because it's much more expensive, but it definitely takes up valuable space in the back of the Jeep. Under the seat is a clean install. Nice review!

@@DB_Roams Score! I have zero space for an air compressor inside my Jeep..I was even reluctant to put this one under the seat because I wanted the storage space...but there's almost no where else to put one in the 392...and this setup is working really nicely so far.

You can with an add on sensor, that I didn’t get. Without the sensor, you just have to keep an eye on it.

What is your air up time? ... I currently have one of the Napa compressors and it cranks out some CFM, however my buddy with his on board ARB still edges me out. I can fill faster, but his set up and take down is much quicker.

I haven't timed it yet...and it will be relative to the size of tire..but I can tell you anecdotally that I'm now the first one done airing up (35 inch tires)..and I usually put my tires the lowest in the group. Those NAPA compressors are pretty great, but with a Jeep, space is at a premium so I really like having this system tucked away so my rear cargo area can carry more bourbon :)

The colored terminal rings, red (pink), yellow, & blue are awg size oriented, not power or ground

Yeah, you did a good job with what you have, as far as tools. Maybe do a run through and think about the process all the way through. Did the instructions mention disconnecting the battery? I did see those fuses you pulled out. Anyway, it works and you didn't die, so I call that a win. 😅

Why not eliminate running to the battery and wire to the aux switch leads under the passenger side dash?

It's an option, but because the Kraken has a switch on the unit itself I ran it to the battery. One less switch to punch..and one more free switch for other stuff.

The AUX switches are not designed to handle the load required to run the ARB Twin compressor, once you see the gauge size of the wire on the compressors compared to the ones used with the AUX switches.

Next Time that you needs to drill through Rubber to make a 1/2 Inch hole perfect, Do what I do you can use a Piece of 1/2 Inch Copper Pipe then use a hammer.

The air compressor is under the seat and the doors have to stay open while it’s in use? I thought the perk of this system is to get you out of the elements, but it seems like a pretty flawed design. It seems like you’ll be pretty uncomfortable using it in almost all situations I try not to post negative comments, but this product only really seems to make sense if you either got it for free or are being paid to use it Does look like it was a fun project to do though. You make great content sir

No this is a great comment. If you see something you don't understand, you should totally call it out. So you can close the doors..you just can't shut them ALL the way. I'm like 1000% more comfortable using this system than I am using my other set up, which is a single compressor installed under the hood...with an extension hose/quick release chuck run to my front bumper...This one is faster and more comfortable because I don't have to go tire by tire, they all air up at the same time, and I can sit in my rig. Full disclosure, Epic did send this to me at no cost..but I'm the one who reached out to them to ask for it because I really like the design. By far this is the best setup I could think of for the 392 though..because you can't mount anything under the hood (engine is too big) and mounting under the back platform creates heat issues for the compressor. Keep an eye on me though, and keep me honest..I've only used it on about 5 trips so far...so I reserve the right to change my mind in the future.

@@Venture2Roam I appreciate your reply and respect your transparency. I can relate to your considerations, I’ve seen under hood compressors really struggle with heat related issues, which is why I mounted my compressor and tank in the bed of my truck (I dont have a jeep). Maybe that EPIC compressor under the seat setup with a hose running to a bumper mounted chuck paired with something like a morrflate could be better so you can close your doors and do all the tires at once. I’ll keep an eye on you though lol, I love watching your videos!
