1/2 a pound lighter than chromoly and made from solid pieces of aluminum, these cranks have a 24mm 80 spline spindle and weigh just 20.1 ounces! In this video I install these new cranks and give some full details on them! Stay tuned for the first ride video!

Cool cranks! A handy tool for working on the bike is a stainless steel metric ruler, to ensure the crank spindle is centered in the bottom bracket. Amazon has a nice ruler set for under ten bucks. After install, are the PEDALS in the same position as with the old cranks? The new cranks look physically larger, do they push the pedals wider apart?

Too many proprietary parts. Standard 22 or 24mm is good.

8:32 I would’ve put the adapter for the sprocket on the inside to use less spacers for the chain alignment like a profile spline drive sprocket 👍🚲💨

That would mean flipping the guard to be on the inside and putting chain alignment way further off. The guard sprocket is machined for the adapter to go in from the outside.

@@Brant_Moore when I rode for profile europe I had the Profile Spline Drive Sprocket in black and i run the adapter on the inside I thought they were all the same 🤷‍♂️ 🤔?

Not sure but if you look at the guard sprocket you can see it has a ring machined out for the adapter and the adapter is shown how i have it in the video

@PallutedLife650 These cranks use a proprietary RNC 24mm mid bottom bracket so no you want to make sure you get it from RNC as it’s the only bottom bracket that will fit this spindle

Why would he make the bigger spindle the selling point and totally ignore that it still uses 9/16 pedal axles and not bigger too?

I don’t understand your question. He can’t just try to change the pedal spindle standard by making the cranks not work with 99% of pedals out there?

9/16 is standard for all pedals unless it’s a one piece crank. Are you suggesting he makes custom pedals tot fit cranks?

... the crank arm/spindle union is stronger but it's still gunna break quick at the pedals.

@@fransschreuders8488 It’s possible, but that 9/16 spindle on the pedal is a lot more likely to bend or break before the pedal boss. I’d rather replace my pedals than my cranks.

Save a ton of weight on cranks....use so many spacers and oring that the weight saved means nothing.

Anti-seize! Slather that entire set up in anti-seize! Or it will eventually be a one piece crank. I think I can smell it cold welding from here. Grease ain’t going to cut it.

@@Brant_Moore Sorry Brant lol. I’m just speaking from experience. Always anti-seize on two dissimilar metals especially on threads and splines. Also, wear gloves, There’s some not so great stuff in anti-seize. it’s also an SOB to clean off of things, especially your hands.
