Handle bar end caps would look sweet in orange to bring the colour up a bit. The silver protector bars you should spray black. Then it would look perfect in my opinion. Still looks great as is though.

I do have to say that cage,subcage and axle sliders when on really easy. With most cages for the common bikes (eg 636 F4i) it’s a real paint to get the boots lined up ad the motor will drop down and most cages you have to drill out your swingarm bolt and front axle to accommodate the mounting hardware. Good on them 👍👍

Yeah I've seen installation videos where people are drilling out the internal diameter of their bolts just to attach those American cages. I chose Crazy Iron because their cages looked the best built and hassle free install from the 1 vid I could find online so I'm happy to promote them 💪

I think a lot of the dodgy installs are from guys that don't have much mechanical experience. Like.. if you take both engine bolts out from each side of the frame of course the engine's going to drop, but as you can see from my video I did it one at a time and replaced the bolts before removing the bolt from the other side and didn't run into any issues at all

I got the full kit for my 2017 FZ-10 in the Fluo Yellow to mostly match my wheels. It faded BAAAAAAD in less than two months. I contacted Crazy Iron and all they said was "our paint isn't made to stand up to the sun where you live" I'm in the south east USA. I was pissed. I had to spend another almost $200 on top of the $700 for the cage to get it powder coated. I am happy with the build quality and I'm sure it'll do it's job but be aware that if you get one of these in a bright color Crazy Iron's shit paint WILL fade on you!

Of course, hope you never need it, but great to know it's there. I guess it's a bit heavy, but then unless your chasing Rossi down on the straight, you still have more than enough power in that great little beast!!

I took the bike out on the Twisties a week after I installed the cage and honestly didn't even feel that it was there at all. Absolutely no change in the rideability of the motorbike. I'm glad it's there.. a lot less stress now

They looks awesome! Seems like you like over kill like me. If you're looking for a good security chain that is (just) comute-able have a look at the almax 16mm chain. I got 2m of it but you only really need 1.5m if you're only locking up 1 bike. I coupled my chain with a squire ss80cs and a evva 4ks key barrel.

Make sure you wash your hands after touching those cheap Chinese frame sliders. Btw was that grease you put on the bolts? Do you not use thread lock?

Yep anti-seize incase I want to take the cage off. Threadlock should be used if you never want to remove the bolt ever again. Some people use thread lock because they don't know how to torque bolts properly. I use thread lock very sparingly these days

In Aus, Yes and no. They have a LAMS version which has a reduced capacity with restrictors and also a high output version which is the full capacity and no restrictions known as the mt07ho.

That information's straight from Crazy Iron. My brother and I were looking at the welds and there is something going on underneath. They may sleeve each tube into one another and then weld in place in effect creating a coupling. But again I don't know because it's hidden underneath those beefy welds and probably a secret they'd like to keep to avoid other companies copying their design.
