When removing the clutch pack, you should at least mark the positions. The steel plate and friction plates are most probably built in to minimize overall high and low sections due to manufacturing tolerances and therefore increasing the clutch's performance and behaviour during slip. On a bike, the comfort issues may be much less than in a car, but still it would be advantageous.

On older bikes when the clutch got grabby I used to mix up the positions on purpose. I would even alternate spinning the metal plates backward. This would end up expanding the engagement point softening it up a bit and that got rid of the grabby feeling. MFR's got wise to this and started making different thickness plates so now they go in a certain order. Thats great when it is new to soften the engagement point but later you can be stuck. The basket gets worn to that pattern so now you can try the oil trick but if it just wont go away it might need a new baskket.

For the fifth hack: use tree buckets, not two=soap water has to come off with clean water. And for the bonus hack, you can filter clean your dirty motor oil by draining the used engine lubricant in a container, then use a sponge inside a funnel to separate the burned metal friction residue.
