Installing the Vertical Queen Wall Bed from Häfele

Are there safety features that prevents the bed from accidentally dropping down, when it's in vertical position or when it's being flipped down?

Thanks for your question! The gas piston hardware secures the bed in the closed position when it is not being used (and holds it open when it is being used). As long as the correct piston hardware is chosen, based on the weight of the mattress, front panel, slats, etc.; you shouldn’t have an issue with the bed dropping down unexpectedly.

@@hafeleamerica thank you for the reply. Just want to check that I understand it correctly, the piston will hold it in place, so that even when we let go of the pull handle half way, the mechanism will hold the bed in place and we don't have to worry about a "free-fall"?
