Installing the Yakima Rotopax mounting kit on Overhaul HD bed rack

I have the same rack. I like the idea of putting it on the inside as well because I have the Retrax cover. I will install mine on the drivers side so if I’m changing lanes I can still see through that Blindspot on the passenger side of my vehicle. Oh. You’re brave to leave the (left to tighten) segment in your video. But remember this. righty tighty lefty Loosey

one thought as to making it theft proof would be a cable and a lock as well. just a thought

@Varsity Overland Really like how you hung the gas can. Looks great. Any updates since installing rotopax? Any theft concerns? I have the Outpost HD version and am considering this and the shovel like yours.

No issues at all! I dont have them mounted constantly. Only when im camping, but Ive gone into the grocery store a few times with it mounted and wasn't worried👍

Are you still happy with the mounting system on the Yakima HD, have you had any problems with it? Thanks for sharing, i just installed my yakima HD rack and I'm wailing for the roto pax brackets to come it so i could install them...thanks for sharing!

No issues with the Yakima other than bolts stripping easier than expected. Although my experience might be unique as I attached and removed components so often.

What shovel/axe attachment brackets do you have mounted on the Overhaul sidebars and how did you attach them (e.g. which hardware)? Thanks!

how has the rack and bed cover held up? i'm wanting the same thing but want to make sure it's worth the $3500 bucks, thank u

The bed rack is incredible!! No issues. The cover is "ok" I wish i spent a little extra and went with the Retrax cover instead of the Pace Edwards Ultragroove. The housing where the cover is contained leaked a small amount of water from time to time.
