What is the recommended bolt torque for the trailer hitch?

Text is copied from 8nstallation document: Tighten in the order shown. (Alternate sides starting from hitch end) • Tighten the six flange bolts to an initial torque of 48 Ib-ft (65 N·m) as shown. Then, tighten the flange bolts to a final torque of 96 Ib-ft (130 N·m). • After tightening all the flange bolts,recheck their torque.

They are sold separately. Hitch alone come with it's hardware. Hitch Harness comes with it's hardware. If the vehicle is Equipped with Tailgate Handsfree system, it will need the Accessory adoptive Handsfree/kick sensor. The only History used to come with the Lower center bumper trim but it is sold separately now. therefore, it has to get ordered for.

Appreciate the effort but this is NOT a very helpful video!!! For anyone struggling with installing the Pilot wiring harness, look for a video titled "2022-2024 MDX OEM Trailer Hitch/Harness/Cover DIY Installation". The MDX is slightly different than 23-24 Pilot but quite similar and will get you started. I have a 24 Pilot Trailsport and to install the harness and bracket, I did NOT have to remove the bumper. I did take two bolts and two clips from underneath to facilitate bending the bumper forward to fit my hand behind to install the harness bracket to the hitch frame, but got it all done fairly easily - just a take your time. The supplied clips in the wiring harness make it easy to figure out where to attach to the body along the way.

There is nothing to it. It isn't a rocket engineering class, 1-Remove the mud guards if applicable. 2-Remove the rear fenders flares from Both sides. 3-remove all necessary screws and push pins. 4-remove the two screw covers from the tail lights mounted on the body of the vehicle. 5-remove the 4 screen from the bumper using Allen wrench or a t30 torx socket. 6-remove the screws and push pens from both sides of the rear bumper ones. The fender flares removed, as well as push pins from underneath. 7- gently pop the bumper corners and unplug the wires. 8- Remove the hands-free access sensors, assembly if applicable and swap it with the accessory one. 9-Remove The lower trim from the bumper cover itself and swap it with the accessory one. 10- reassemble the bumper cover get it ready to be installed. 11-Mount the little bracket for engine harness plug onto the hitch. 12-Install the trailer hitch. 13- install the trailer hitch harness if applicable. 14- reinstall the bumper cover and everything else removed during the process and reverse order. Job done, completed professionally, and you literally be in and out of that under 30 minutes. [phone] is my cell, If you want to do it yourself...
