I bought myself Rockford Fosgate Puncher p1683 and I also bought, these adapter cables, but they don't fit for the new speaker. Like the buss or however it's called is too small

KS Myth Good thinking no doubt, but the wire harness prevents contact with anything you have to work with live. But you're right, prep work and precautionary steps should always be taken, its a good habit.. especially for those doing this sort of thing often.

Hi there, I am replacing my stock 6x9 speakers with some kicker ks69 6x9 speakers! I took the stock ones out and they had a small and big connector on each side of the speaker but my kickers only have a big and small connector on one side, what do I do?

he used an adapter to use the factory wiring harness for the door speaker. even with an amplifier u can use something called 9wire to hook the amp back up to the metra harness so the door speakers get the signal without having to take a single door panel off

@@Drakmaster1337 for side speakers unfortunately my car didn't have to option for side speakers. It's a 92 ford mustang and from factory you could have the option for an upgraded stereo system but mine doesn't have that. But in any case with my other speakers I just cut the ends off if they didn't fit and put on some of those positive and negative connectors. All you'll need is a pair of cutting pliers, wire strippers(knife will work) and crimpers. You don't necessarily need to buy an adapter for it.

@@christianfuhrmann5647 hey bro I installed front door speakers today it actually was pretty simple, I cut the adaptor off and just twisted the wires in the door to the new speaker and taped it up, the pain was I had to cut new holes in the speaker pod thing, since the new speakers were half a inch bigger but I got them to fit pretty firmly.

They do that cuz lets say the A/C was working before then they installed the new speakers and now it doesnt work they now know that the a/c is not working because of the speakers. If they didnt take note what worked and then came to a problem then they wouldnt know what do to.

SKIPPED A STEP Notice that the NEW speaker was 1st installed onto the original speaker mount. you just don't pop in a speaker it needs a mount, something they forgot to tell you. when you remove your old speaker, remove the speaker from it's mount, and KEEP the old mount, you'll need it to place your new speaker in, before you install it in your vehicle. go on... take your speaker.. try and just put it in the big hole use the old mount no need to buy a new one,, you're holding one in your hand, why buy a new one,, geez

You don't need a new mount if the new speaker is the same size as the factory one. You can use the one already there.

don't pay them to do this, they will screw up your car, geek squad is a bunch of high schoolers that work on your cars and computers without any prior training, other than this youtube video, lol. Speakers are so easy to install that if you have to get them installed by bestbuy chances are you really should not be playing with your car at all
