Congrats on one thousand subs. I enjoy your videos! I have Windows 7 on my gaming laptop (2016) that originally came with Windows 10. I checked online if there were win 7 drivers for my MSI laptop, and there were! Even when XP first came out (2001), i remember i played around with it, then put windows 98 on it. Ah yes it was a pentium 4, 256 mb ram, 64 mb Nvidia graphics card. 40 gig hard drive. I even put windows 95 on it but i had to put the k6 or whatever patches from Microsoft, using floppy disk, as the processor was to fast. 1.6 gz? Then you installed same patch in Windows 95. First in dos, then 95. I forget what uptade that was. amd k6 something update. But yeah a 2001 and it had windows 95. Was a very fast windows 95 machine. I enjoy doing things like this. Seeing what the outcome will be.

part of me is tempted to put 11 on this old Dell N7010 I got laying around. I mean if this latitude can run it "okayish" then my Dell should have no issue at all.

That is a cool laptop, good model, now try this first find a SSD that’s cheaper if your not worried about storage, put that in there and then install windows 11 it will be even snappier, but there is one side affect if it’s an older computer that did not have an activation of windows 10, you won’t be able to have a activated windows 11, you can still install it but if you want more features you will have to purchase a product key

That same laptop was actually the first one I've ever gotten (around 2016 or so). I just have to get another charger for it & maybe even an SSD of some sort too

@@RobbieCupples they’re very cheap to find for an SSD and a power supply from Dell for it should be just a 19.5 V like three amp charger barrel jack style

I have a dell vostro a860 with 2gb ram and core 2 duo T5470, do you know can i upgrade it to T7500? I have only 1.6GHz 😭
@TechSimplified910Күн бұрын
that is a great question, I am not sure if that is possble, try diving down deeper into forums about you cpu to see if you can make that happen, I will look into it as well
@cagdas_keloglanКүн бұрын
@TechSimplified910 I read dell forums and i learn my motherboard has 800MHz fsb and chipset 965GM. It supports İntel core 2 DUO 35W CPU's. I see someone was asked this question in dell forums, and someone said you can upgrade up to T9500. There are 4 forum pages about dell vostro a860 cpu upgrading and one ebay page is selling dell vostro a860 with 4gb ram upgrade and T9500. I think i will put T7700 in my laptop. Thank you very much, i was don't know dell has a forum. Thank you very much (also, my english is not very good, sorry)

Well, when this OS came out in 2021, I was like excited. I was thinking to try it, while I have low expectation, if I might not gonna be able to enjoy it, but something unexpected happened When I read "Compatible CPU" for Windows 11 on Microsoft Website, Intel Celeron N4000 which used in my Asus X441MA, entered list 😯. Then I tried installing it, through "Upgrading". Maybe the launched version was a bit Buggy, like Screen suddenly become black even some sluggishness. So, I downgraded and just stay on Windows 10 Until in June 2023, I bought Ideapad Slim 3 which come with Windows 11. This is Laptop I currently used for my daily tasks, including basic content creations even my college works. Windows 11 on this machine just run like charm

With that CPU which scores over 800 points on Passmark, and 4 GB of RAM, Win11 is possible. However, this was a high end cpu at the time and that amount of RAM was unusual. At the time, most people had 1 or 2 gb of ram, and their cpu was between 200 and 500 cpu points. So your laptop was extraordinarily speedy for its time. So what you see there, win11 running with a few hacks, it's normal. I've also run Linux on a pc with the same speed specs (850 cpu passmark points and 4 gb of ram), and it was flying. So Win11 would do well too. But if you were to run it on a more normal spec machine from 2007, you'd see that you'd be struggling.

Really wow that’s interesting, so what is passmark is that like a bench test software
