Damn, I was shocked as "how can you install windows on GitHub Codespaces???". I always thought this was a regular VSCode with a bit of tools preinstalled and some compatibility features, but turns out it supports a package manager, making things less limited. Lol nice job

I was only able to install tiny10, other systems gave me errors when installing, could you do a detailed tutorial on how to do this? the commands in cmd are the ones that I did not understand

Github shuts down the workspace probably for this exact reason, so people won't leave mining shit or try to have background tasks running, which aren't related to actual source code work (outside of vscode or embeeded console)

Hey, can you make a GitHub Action to get desktop access on the Windows desktop, or has been done with their macOS runners already with fastMac but I want an action that gives an authless vnc link to windows desktop.

You could probably just shove all the commands into a GitHub action and it would work. You’d need to get the URL to VNC somehow though.

it is cool but you can do it much faster without installing vnc on the host, only downloading iso from command line & creating qemu instance from vscode with vnc support, without manual windows installation, am i right? or is there something that makes this not possible? to clarify what i am suggesting is; - do not install vnc on the host - use qemu's builtin vnc, install windows that way (direct vnc connection to windows vm)

I could have used the built in QEMU vnc, but I decided to not because I still had to use noVNC for the web browser VNC client, so why not mirror the whole display? Also Windows has to be installed manually, as the VM has so little space that the regular installer would refuse to work.

@@laglife you can create one with 32 gigs which might be just enough if you bypass the requirements somehow

@@ProKids-l7iGitHub code codespaces is basically VS Code connected to a remote server running Linux. It’s still not easy to get this working though. Someday I will get Windows 11 running on Chrome though lol

Most likely it's because I made the drive larger, so Windows Setup applied less compression or something

install windows 11 on replit (i used to run things on other people's repls before they forced you to fork the repl before running it, i used bash projects initially, but i switched to node projects because bash removed inputafter stopping execution)

It wouldn't do anything, because each URL can be visited by only your account. Even if I logged in, it would simply open the VNC client and mirror the contents of what VNC is mirroring to inside the VM.
