9:50 thanks for waiting until after you glue in the servos, towards the end of the video, when you say that you use PVA, which I assume is like a mold release, on the servos allowing them to be taken out. Now I have a malfunctioning servo permanently glued to my wing. I’m just playing, But it is a part of the process that is worth mentioning. I was confused until I rewound the video and heard you say it.

Hahaha, you scared me. I don't use scripts or anything so doing my best. Lately I've transitioned to using bits of plastic bags instead of mold release as it saves time.

The tip at 3:33 is great. What like as well is the hint Spencer Lysenby (Dynamic Soaring "God"). (See link below). Hard to explain (the pics in the link show it all), but I give it a try: He uses a transparent Polycarbonat sheet and makes marks over the whole surface. Then he fold it and wrap it on the lower and upper side of the wing. and then you can check if linkage etc aligns from the lower side to the upper side of the wing. This is a nice tool if you have a wing where you have to make slots for the linkage or/and when you have to cut the slot for the control horn by yourself. 0:33 Is the servo centered and the horn turned 90 degrees, or is the servo at it´s extreme position?
@flightcomp5 жыл бұрын
I install by setting flap servos to extreme down position. Servo arms laying flat and flaps full down. Aileron servos can be centered.

@@flightcomp yeah that´s what I thought.... thanks man

Ok for a minute there I assumed that you glued the servo in permanently. I need to watch again just to make sure I didn't miss something because i have no idea how you kept the epoxy from bonding to the servo case.
