Toffoli will look great with Ehlers and Monohan. In general the top 6 is easy to move around. Should be possible to roll it back next season with the same team, the cap space is there

One thing to look at, in yesterdays game the top three lines all played 16-17 minutes. Bones is already rolling them basically as 1 A, B, and C. Tiffoli and Vilardi are just going to make the lines more deadly.

Ehlers-Scheif-Vilardi were very good together when Connor was out. Mony has been excellent since joining the Jets and seems to have quickly gelled with Ehlers. Bones will have options with the top 6. Nino-Lowry-Appleton have been a great match up line all year and the 4th line with Barron-Names-Iaffalo will be a perfect line to throw in the rotation and help kill penalties. Perfetti-Gus-Kupari are fantastic depth pieces for the playoffs. And adding an experienced vet like Miller as the RD3 partner for a young but very headsy & defensively strong Samberg is a quietly effective move by Chevy.

I would love to see Toffoli re-sign with the Devils in the offseason and the one thing they didn't mention is like we saw with guys like Domi and Bertuzzi, lately there's a lot less suitors than people think.

No way, Bones is gonna break up the 3rd line. Toffoli is on the 1st. Namestnikov on the 4th. Where does Vilardi fit it, when he's back?

Toffoli is really good and will be helpful for the Jets, I think he moves around so much because he doesnt seem to be the easiest guy to sign. He performs very well but its hard to know how "real" it is idk its weird, he feels like the kind of player that if he got a lockdown big deal he wouldnt produce as well. There is no evidence to that it is just a feeling while watching him

He doesn't contribute much other than offense. He's not bad defensively but I'd classify him as mediocre. It seems like the cycle is he produces, he goes to his team and points at his production and asks for compensation equal to that and the team lets him walk or trades him because they don't feel he's worth it. Someone signs him for cheap, then he gets moved with retention and it's worth it for a team. The cycle then goes back to contract talks and starts all over again.

Devils fans will always love Yegor but he was very inconsistent on the Devils and wasn't going to be a part of the long-term core. However, Fitz failed the team this season by allowing the Lindy circus to continue as long as he did and not getting a legitimate goalie.

I glad tyler is getting sent to a team with a strong chance to advance in the playoffs, instead of staying on an underachieving team like the Devils. How many times can you blame Lindy Ruff. Fitzgerald needs to start being held accountable along with some of the malcontents in the Locker Room. tired of hearing all the young talent, but what have they won. Hamilton injury was tough, but they let 2 experienced defensemen go in free agency. What a crappy hockey season this has been in NJ. Also that toucan nose owner Harris needs to concentrate on Hockey, not the Seventy suckers or the Redskins!( YES REDSKINS)
