It is not very flexible, so you would need a normal vest with foam attached to it.

I've worked with expanding foam alot... Here are a few tips... Make your mold with that pink foam, (because it is more durable than styrofoam) and than put that plastic wrap over it (so it won't stick to the foam)... Also If you do that you will end up with a smoother surface... Try making a boat...

You should have used the “window & door” spray foam. It dries soft and flexible and would make a better chair - or at least for a cushion for the current chair.

Pretty sure that you can sand the expanding foam and use a reciprocating saw for more mass removal if you want. As for the "water chair", you need to remove like 75% of the base of the chair if you want it relatively stable.
