Weird that Alexz Johnson stopped writing songs for this show after season 2. Really liked her style.
@CatLady19893 жыл бұрын
She had a recording deal at the time and she couldn't sing/write music for the show because of her contract said so or something like that. "The Breakdown" is written by her brother Brendan & it's the closest to an Alexz's song this season
@rahbeeuh3 жыл бұрын
@@CatLady1989 ohh that makes sense. I remember reading something like that but I couldn't recall. Thanks for the reminder. Imo the songs seemed better when she wrote and her brother wrote them.

Patsy’s an artist and artists are sensitive about their art. But there’s nothing about Patsy that screams saxophone so…. that was random.

As a jazz fan, kinda liked both versions I thought it was simple enough out of Jamie to just stick with the old version, was just as good if not better and had her soul as an artist in it. That could've saved her life
@RealAshiaMiller3 жыл бұрын
I didn’t mind the jazz version either …but perhaps as a separate release after the original rock version has gained lots of play and traction

@6:54 gosh teenagers - think they know it all. Doesn't know that the contract you sign with th label also state who has ownership of the songs as Jude later learn all the songs she wrote all are owned by G Major and she can't use any of them without their go-ahead

So was patsy an adult dating a high school Jamie? I liked this show when it first came out and I didn't realize how many people were dating teens. Wow.

If Jude was weeks away from 18 as she said last episode then Jamie was already 18. Remember in season 1 they said Jude was the last to turn 18

Same! Tommy was way too old for Jude.
@heyitsnoreen2 жыл бұрын
@@StarrH7 Still though he had to be around 17 when they started dating in season 2 since Jude turned 17 in that season. Plus her being week away from 18 doesn't change the fact that this man was lusting after her since she was 15. And then there's Karma and Speed. Even at 18, she still slept with a high school kid. I guess no one can date adults?

Jude is insufferable here, but Tommy was really cruel with his words.... it kinda feels wrong that Jude acts like nothing happens and all is peachy between them.

In short: a lot Patsy has always been a fascinating character to me. She’s an anti-establishment, almost anarchist type who’s in it for both the love of music and (for lack of a better term) the lolz. So she hated it when her boyfriend watered down her pure raw talent into something “marketable”. She’s so anti-capitalist and she was distraught, even heart-broken to see this perverted version of her song get praise from the likes of Karma. If Karma represents pop music at its most safe, vain and commercial, Patsy is the otherside of the spectrum; experimental, scary, unkept, and apathetic to modern sensibilities. She’s almost clearly stricken with alcoholism. The brief comments from her character suggest she’s been abused by her family. Overall, Patsy is probably the most complex character in the entire IS canon. It’s a shame she got killed off, I would have loved to see a spin-off where she and Andrew go to London or NYC and try to make it in the world of Underground Punk.

The horns sound awful, it isn't even more "commercial", it's just bad. Reminds me of that Drake and Josh episode where the studio makes Drake's song "more commercial" and it sounds like garbage.
