I'm sorry but we don't know, off the top of our heads. I'd recommend consulting AT&T's online support pages for this model - I'm sure they have that stat listed there somewhere

Are you able to do the same with a Verizon branded tab S2? When entering a different sim, a notification saying it's not from Verizon shows but it doesn't prompt for a code or have any sim unlocking utilities.

That device was sold SIM unlocked right out of the box, as were most devices pre 2019. The "non Verizon SIM" message shows regardless of whether it's locked or unlocked

@@MNMobileGuy well here's my confusion then. Using two different sims it won't connect to the network. It also won't let me save any apns regardless of what I enter in the fields(to save having to type it out let's just assume it was correct info). Hit save and it doesn't even show as an option.

@@MNMobileGuy so a gsm/CDMA thing? It's got a global mode but best I can tell doesn't really change anything. I've tried at&t, T-Mobile, and now mint(thru T-Mobile). Maybe a error in the firmware? Could take it back to 5 and update back up.

@@briankelly7060 both AT&T and T-Mobile have recently made network changes that made many older devices obsolete. So it's totally possible that a 7-year-old device simply won't work with them anymore
