This is the absolute best KZbin lesson I've ever had! (And probably watched 500 or more). His description of feeling uncomfortable trying to create a full turn was perfect. I got to the top and felt completely uncoordinated. The drill creates the feel wonderfully and it worked the instant I tried it on the range. If you are older, like me, and struggling to get a full backswing this lesson is the one that worked. No offense Clay, but you simply told us the importance of the turn, this lesson showed how to do it.

Looks good. I was recently told to turn my shoulder much more and it made a huge difference. I typically have an aggressive armsy downswing anyway and was told that my half turn was not getting my front shoulder back far enough to transfer any weight. By doing as you say I found that I got a natural rebound feeling at the top which tells me to start a smoother downswing. The downswing turned me better to ball impact, and overall the feel was more that I smoothly drag my arms down from the top and get in a better plane. (it all goes wrong half way around the course when I see a long shot in front of me, and the gorilla comes back, but I'm getting there) . (Have you got a vid on how things change for the Driver? I find that in my efforts to stop fading the ball badly, I tend to end up with a downswing that spins me around too fast and I hit a horrible hook 40 yards along the ground.. The head of my driver feels like it's on a 9ft shaft when I swing... 👍

Remember the Kallassy Swing Magic device? It did the same thing. Good drill!

If Clay tries to sell me his “bonus” anti-roll method after yet another video then I’m going to throw up!!!

Ha! Yes, every video is an intro to trying to make money, but I bit and happy I did. I've spent a lot on training aids, etc, but made more improvement on this site in 5 months than the previous 6 years. I think many of these instructors on KZbin are excellent, and this one is especially good, BUT one proviso: their roadmap for improvement requires huge numbers of reps in various drills - more than, honestly, my body and energy level can survive - but even doing scaled down versions, I've made great strides and having much more fun playing golf. If someone was young, in good shape, and had time and energy to do sometimes thousands of reps - yes, thousands! - these guys will get you hitting better. On the putting side, an electronic putting mat called Chirrp has made a huge difference in my putting inside 20 feet, which REALLY makes a difference in the scores.
