Very smart move from westin to put their logo on the top of the bait like that. They do make great lures, incredible lures you could even say but it appears they’re equally skilled in marketing. Ill tell you pike are ferocious ..ive been going to Canada fishing for 35 years fishing one my best fishing memories is with my dad the lake we were fishing wasnt doing much but at the entrance of the road to the lodge across the highway were ponds bigger than what you would call a pond in the US that being said the old man asked about them the lodge owners said they were pike ponds nothing but perch and northern see in as the fishing sucked on the Lake the lodge was on the old man rented a canoe from them we caught pike up to 12 lbs it was a blast been hooked ever since i was 12 at the time im 66 now ..

My Grandfather caught a massive Pike in Canada back in the 1950s. Over 40 inches or so I think. He had it mounted and it was at our family cottage for years. When the cottage was torn down an remodeled it was put in storage. It currently resides in my brothers basement bar. It’s my dream to catch one of these magnificent beasts! Maybe mount it myself. Not sure about that.

Amazing footage, and really enjoyed the slow motion! I didn't realize it before seeing this but, if you look carefully, just before they lunge, they arrange their bodies into a classic "S" shape, like a snake. Probably just my own fascination with evolution that makes it cool to me, but still amazing to see

Wow , this is the most amazing footage of what the Pike sees as it stalks the lure then attacks . I gotta say these newer plastic swim baits are so real looking & with such great action it must be a blast to fish them . We here in MD don't have much in the way of huge Pike & Muskies which sucks but that's the way it goes . I spent two weeks in Itasca County in Minnesota some years back & we really only had Daredevil Spoons in silver & yellow with red diamond patterns & we caught lots of great Pike but nothing i would call a monster but they are there . Thanks for sharing this fascinating look at the world under the surface & for anything not a top predator i feel sorry for them but then again they never knew what hit them . I was looking at a clip of these baits from Japan that are segmented plastic & they are so life like it's scary real & some that have plastic Pike heads & some type of hair like a fly rod lure & they are huge but weigh zilch & some awesome action to them.

I was rammed in the back by a pike whilst swimming in a loch in the highlands. Winded me, almost killed me from pure shock and fright. Must’ve been a pike, nothing else in the water capable of something like that. Many people don’t believe me, but I don’t care. Scary fish.

everything will be ok a lady with her dog told me a fish story that happened to her pup where I was fishing for these big pike. She let her pup swim in the water with a life vest. The pup would paddle around and then the pup stopped paddling. The lady told me when she picked up her pup out of the water, a pike had grabbed onto it. These pike are supper aggressive

What to use on small river for pike in spring 🤔

Small swimbaits in the 3-5 inch range and small spoons around 2-3 inches will never let you down for classic river pike fishing. If the pike won’t bite Those, they are just not hungry. Other good options are small spinner baits, both inline and offset spinners.
