I want to grow by exploring, appreciating and treasuring all the moments of my life. I badly want to have an instant camera but as of now, my parents won't allow me because its too expensive. Its so nice to look back and remember how we choose to fight and be happy in life. Instax camera will always have special place in my heart. For everyone complaining about calling it polaroid... It's the same as people calling tissues Kleenex or a vacuum a hoover or plastic wrap Glad wrap no matter the brand... It's because the brand is so recognised for that product that the brand name and the product name become interchangeable.

This camera totally appeals to me on the style vs substance scale. It looks totally fun, but has less control than the SQ6 which is probably cheaper now. Simplicity and amazingly cool industrial design vs. exposure control, ability to turn off flash, self timer, and tripod mount. Is it wrong that I'd rather look at this than the SQ6, even though the 6 has so much more control and costs less? Also - would really love to see y'all try out Instax Monochrome.

I personally think the SQ6 still slightly better than this SQ1, mainly because of its physical options like 'D' etc behind. It's easier to press and take the shots right away. Also the SQ6 is set is ISO400 if I'm mistaken?

when you took the photos what did you do with them while still on the hike? i have this problem when i'm on a photoshoot and i want to take polaroids. Can you guys make a cool holder that attaches to the cameras that will hold the photo after they come out of the camera PLEASE. preferably for the Instax Wide Film. They have something on amazon for the regular size instax but not the wide. I hate putting them in my pocket and scratching them up or having to carry my camera bag to put them in. All of us professional photographers would thank you.

I’ve had my Lomography camera for a while now. Had some good experiences with it but I busted the lens twist. Now it’s stuck 😭😂 gotta get that fix soon.

Can i change out the film packs and swap it for a monochrome mid way? or do i need to use the entire pack first before i even think of swapping it out for a monochrome pack? do you know what i mean?

Polaroid is a brand. Fuji Instax is another brand. We need to stop mixing these two. And also stop shaking those films. In the original Polaroid manual, they specifically mentioned do not shake.

Can we stop calling Instax cameras and film Polaroids. It's one thing if it's a random Instagram post getting it wrong, but if you are actively reviewing it, please get it right. Polaroid and Instax are two very different products lines from two completely different companies.

A little pedantic......Are you also going to get upset with everyone in the UK who calls any vacuum cleaner a Hoover, or tell you that they're doing the Hoovering. Polaroid is so pervasive as the company that made instant pictures, people call any instant picture a polaroid. Hardly a big deal. Confusing to newcomers, maybe, but hopefully they're intelligent enough to work out what's going on.

It does automatically print, once the shutter button is pressed, the picture will print out immediately so there isn’t any choosing of photos.

SQ6 is better. SQ1 is an entry level cam for square film, just like instax mini 11 is an entry level cam for mini film.

It's not a polaroid camera, it may have the square format, but the pictures are not as big, and also not as good because the lens is plastic, the sx-70 has a glass lens that is ultimately better.

Instax and Polaroid are not the same. Also, Unpopular opinion, but Instax film is better than the new Polaroid film. I use and love both, but I prefer Instax.

It's popular to say that Polaroid is better (they invented it after all), but I've heard that Instax is way closer to Polaroid's colours and price range before they went bankrupt in 2008. The fact that the new Polaroid sells cartridges of 8 shots rather than 10 like they used to (and Instax does now) makes no sense either.

I really don’t know why they hollowed out the SQ6 (still their best camera) for the sake of slightly improved photos. The SQ1 is beautiful but the SQ6 is crammed full of fun features that help you get creative shots. The ball was slightly dropped on the SQ1. Would recommend anyone reading go with the SQ6!
