I think the best part about the inner hollow fights is how something as simple as how different they use the zanpakto is the way white just swings it around like a damn whip is so hype makes you wish ichigo would do it too

It really feels nice when the main character gets some acknowledgement, when he went into the mask, bulldozed hiyori and all of them immediately jumped him was nice, half of it could be because they know what's up, presumably a vizard with a mask is not the same as a vizard going feral, because people can control themselves but a hollow is going to full send it, but also on the other had hollow Ichigo's clapback was a bit too hard a bit too instantaneous to be entirely a " buffed human vs buffed monkey" situation although now that i put it into perspective probably buffed human vs buffed monkey would go down THAT quick

Ichigo's struggles with his inner Hollow is among his most pivotal struggles. Still among the Vizards Lisa is my favorite. Fierce and stoic in battle yet off is an open and shameless perv who defends her perversions sometimes while, ironically, embarrassed.

Actually I have three ideas as to what White could mean by Instinct. What do you think? 1. The ability to accept the worst parts of himself. In the fight against Grand Fisher, he likely felt rage beyond anything he felt previously, and this is White telling Ichigo to let himself have a desire to fight. It also makes sense as why Kenny would also be shown. Although I think it's a bit weak, it could make sense with how Hollows generally work. We see it later with Grimmjow as well telling Ichigo the same thing. 2. The ability to take a life. As we've seen throughout the Soul Society arc as well as the Substitute Soul Reaper Arc (when fighting Sora and defending the child,) Ichigo isn't too keen on killing or really risking his life for the sake of it. Ichigo is scared to fight, and we see that immediately after the first fight with Grimmjow and later with Espada #4. 3. The difficulty in making hard decisions. The use of "King" really makes me think of a person of authority and waging war. It's not an easy thing to be a king and responsible in the way Ichigo would want to be. This is an extension of the 2 point and we see this in the fight later with Dordoni, when he calls out Ichigo for being too soft, and even naive in his desire to fight the Espada head on.

The King and the Horse part is so great as a piece of story telling that me and friend will quote it in reference to stuff and how it shows Kubo can really write even if he's no Goda when he really find a theme he can do well and his art his true strength can show it well. The mirror Hollow Ichigo places in front of regular Ichigo that he needs to fight like an animal when he needs to if he wants to win or even survive against the likes of the Espada. Old Man Zangetsu is a more level headed teach while Hollow is sink or swim to the nth degree even when not strictly needed. Also Vizard speculation is nice to see since they really set up their mystery before they get any flashbacks quite strongly both by the very nature of being hollowified and how they know that much of Aizen. Your vid on their reveals is likely gonna be nice and long.

Bleach is and has always been a story about a man and his self acceptance, self discovery. Kubo made a basically fully fledged guide to…well…be happy. Be at peace. Bleach is so multilayered, that most people don’t even consider it shonen. Beheath the facade of battle driven shonen, lies a lot of themes to think about and even a guide to self acceptance.

Nice, i won't tell you what but some of your guesses, they aren't far off from the truth, so keep them in mind, i would also recommend, and again, i will sound like a broken record but the meeting inside his mind when he fought Kenpachi, heavily recommend that you go and re-read it after this one and analyze some of the phrasing use, some of the panels, etc. I will sound like a broken record by the time you get to my favorite chapter of the whole manga, but believe me, im trying to get your mind to overwork all of this stuff, so that chapter just hits even better, and it's super enjoyable.

It is all excellent writing with Bleach, you are spot on. But can you imagine 12 yo kids understanding analysis like this? That is part of the reason why Bleach has bad reputation when it was ongoing. They just expect action and cool scenes time mostly. Makes me a bit sad.

I actually heard the reverse criticism back in the day. That the readers loved the writing but started to sour on the series (particularly during the fkt arc) for it being back to back fighting with a decreased writing quality
