I think the point about closing the eyes and the influence of ones eyes is a really good point. Worth expanding on. I was shooting at dusk and the target was harder to visually resolve. My form (I'm a rank beginner at Trad archery) greatly improved!!

cheers for the video. Started shooting a bear recurve a month ago and watching some of your videos has really helped. Paper cup training is great too. I've gotten to 8,5m now, where I can put the arrows in the cup most of the time. I haven't tried releasing with my eyes closed to practice my release but I'll give that a shot. Cheers.

My anchor point is with the thumb tucked right into my high cheek bone, just under my dominate eye. It was natural right from the very start, it works for me, completely non-conventional. Makes my draw length very reliable, every time, 27.5-28 on the spot, the 3C's. You do great videos, keep up the good work. Thanks very much for saying it's completely, a individual preference, I needed to hear that. Most videos are saying you've got to do it this way or your doing it wrong, I'm not a field-target shooter, I'm more into the Howard Hill method, bow hunter, and your video really hit home with me.

Thank you... I use to say release is not an action, it is a direction. Anchor is not a place in the face, it is a compressed spring inside my shoulder. :D

I just have one question. Do I have to touch the string to my nose? I'm kinda using survival lily's ancor point using the jaw bone so I kinda have 2 points already

Last time I closed my eyes I killed 3 pigeons and an greenhouse (wasn't allowed to use the shotgun again for weeks) LOL...YES...I'm joking :)
