Got my first real job after university at the age of 28. I did it for 2 years, got into a severe mid-life crisis, with similar realization as this video. Although I never started to crave money/success I managed my "wants" in life, I changed my mindset and became a frugal minimalist... A laptop, a place to work and a comfortable bed is all I need. Today I have total expenses of 500$ a month incl my car. My apartment is paid for, my car is paid for. It would require me 10 hours of freelance work to get through a month. I can currently sustain myself for 3 years on what I have saved up. I see no reason of living in a hamster wheel following the norms and ideals of society. Now I've started a game development company doing the things I love instead! :) We'll just have to see if I find any success in it... if not. I had fun. Life is too short and precious to be thrown away on realizing other peoples' dreams..

"They're trading their time for free." What a profound perspective. So many people my age are financially illiterate it's scary (I'm 60). They're nearing retirement and have no clue what to do or how to proceed. Public education doesn't tell you because they don't want you to know. If you did, you might jump off the hamster wheel and start a trend that would blow up their economic model. Be the master of your own destiny. Not a servant to somebody else's. You do that by seeking answers and continually learning.

Anton is just spot on here, In the UK and Europe there is a such a culture of complacency it's unbelievable...It's only a matter of time before Singapore overtakes Switzerland as the world's wealth centre. In the UK, if you want to get ahead in life, you're encouraged to borrow & buy a house, develop, flip it and sell it on for more (repeat)..In Asia, you start a real business, employ real people and actually make a long-term contribution to economic growth.

What a lucky guy to travel and interview Anton Kreil. First time I honestly believe I have ever had anyone explain money the way I have always felt about it; as well as cell phones; and valuing the synergy of silence. Yet as a Nautilus, the question became where had I remained and spiritually almost died in my shell? Watching this it clear I have and had outgrown my chambers fairly rapidly. Insightful, changes I have made in my life and continue to aggressively change, it helps to see I am actually progressing towards ultimately freeing up two of my most valuable asset TIME/FREEDOM. Thanks kindly, really outstanding advice and honestly, I am certain I will revisit this many times, to keep perspective and revisit my own clarity. Thanks kindly, BE Well and continued success.

Now I humble myself to fully absorb all that Anton has to offer. He has become a role model for me in trading. Thank you Mr Kreil for keeping it real and being so generous. The money is simply the result of a successful system run consistently.

Why do people refer to the 'system' as the Matrix? Like it's something that is set to trap or exploit you? You make your own choices. You can choose to study and get education. You can choose to work or not. You can choose to be rich and super successful or just do a regular job well and have a modest life with a good family if that makes you happy. Life is what you make it. It's not something imposed on you.

@sukafzer

Agreed! English is my 2nd language. It opens up to a lot more things in my life. Books for example, not a lot of books made in US or anywhere else are widely available in my country and when English books are translated to my language, it loses some of it's context. I prefer reading books written in English rather than in my own language. During my college days as a Petroleum Engineering student, most of book are in English, though we have some book written in our language, but not as complete & detailed as the English version. If I hadn't learn English, I might be left behind like my other countrymen who refuses to learn English.
