one half of instra:mental is boddika - he said he couldn't produce dnb anymore because he couldn't top this song. he was right. its perfect.

I don't really consider this drum and bass and I never considered boddika a drum and bass producer. More techno than anything.

@@Decoy303it’s 170 but get what you mean as it it doesn’t sound it. Instra:mental were def dnb, boddika branched off and did his own 140ish thing which was wicked

I drove from Leeds to Plymouth 18 months ago on my way to France. It was half shithole half very nice. I’d go back. The hovercraft was novel 👍

What I love about minmal/autonomic stuff is the fact that put on any other DnB genre whilst driving and it'll make you want to drive fast and hard, put on something like this and it will make you want to chill and cruise. Not necessarily better than any other sub-genre, just different. Different atmosphere.
It's been drum & bass when it came out years ago and it still is.

@CrystalFissure10 жыл бұрын
This is really chill. I like how the main chords are only three notes instead of the big deep chords. It works well! Haven't heard much of this Minimal D&B stuff, but if this is an indicator of what the subgenre sounds like, count me in as a fan.
CrystalFissure flipside is even better... Just satin my favorite glitch tech down tempo from all of that autonomic shit

Well said, this is a gem of wisdom amidst people mindlessly following the 'top rated comment' which, insofar as I can tell, suggests we should all unify into some amorphous blob of collective musical appreciation, who disregards genre, bpm, style and taste, and instead sit on our respective asses, and aimlessly stare at our screens and appreciate music simply for 'being music', regardless of how we feel about its identifying characteristics.

@nickshel ur right, this isn't dubstep, but it's a familar kind of music. U can see that in the tunes of Boddika who's a part of instra:mental, if I am not totally wrong. And he does some dubstep stuff also. I read this discussions several times here on youtube. And people arguing about genres the whole day are kinda annoying, too ^^. btw I checked your youtube channel, you have a great taste of music, respect for that!

if you're gonna do genre ting, its the autonomic sound which was d bridge and instramental i think. genre is useful because it allows you to think about the music and understand what it means in relation to other music which is how its made. shutting up and listening is great but thinking is great to.
