Simon Holmes gives our very own Anna Whiteley a chipping lesson at her home course, Bearwood Lakes, to help her and hopefully you to leave less shots out on the course

A great series! Surprising given the quality of coaching and presentation that it has so few views. Thank you both very much!

Thirded. Really useful and unusually helpful series. Well done to everyone involved. To be facetious, just want to point out to Anna that she can shave a few shots off her score by taking the pin out before she putts!!

None of my buddies, or playing partners do this. I do. I keep the ball low as possible, every chance I get, and it pays off. With such a short swing, the strike doesn’t even have to be perfect. A 9 iron just off the fringe is much easier to control, than trying to hit the perfect lob wedge from there.

Allow wrists to hinge or not? Had conflicting advice on this.

Great vid....I find my cavity backed 8 & 7 irons hard to get feel with....the ball seems to trampoline off the face with little control.....any suggestions?

Maybe grip down a little and make sure hands are ahead of the ball?
