Always love your films BlueJFilms! Just a brief tip to remind users, it is important when synchronized cardioverting to push THEN HOLD the shock button until the unit discharges, since the unit will not deliver the shock until the R wave is detected.

You need to press the sync button every time you want to cardiovert with synchronization.

We would love to get our hands on a rhythm maker that allows defibrillation. We could film a 30J shock into a small tester, if that is what you want to see.

That would be ok. Can we get some videos on aed mode and the cpr feedback features? As for the shock-sim, does your service not have a sim man or other als manikin that will allow a live shock?

Good video......only a couple of points.....you didn't emphasize to say CLEAR! before pushing the shock button. Thats huge. : ) And when pacing, when you get capture, you should check for mechanical capture by checking for a pulse. You may also need to increase the energy level to continue to maintain capture.
