1:33:00 - Blue are airports with IAPs or radar minima in High charts with at least a 5,000 foot RWY.... and Green airports in IFR Low charts with an IAP or Radar Minima with at least 3,000 feet of RWY. The only difference is the runway length on high/low charts.

1:45:54 What is the obstacle clearance for circling approaches? You remembered correctly: "A minimum of 300 feet of obstacle clearance is provided in the circling segment" (FAA-H-8083-16B, Instrument Procedures Handbook 4-9)

To answer you "why not just put an ILS?" question. ILS can only be created in a straight line. A GBAS approach can be curved which means that GBAS approaches can be used in areas that have terrain or obstacles that would prohibit an ILS approach. And eventual it will allow procedures that have greater separation on parrallel runways until you get much closer to the runway. This would allow ATC to run aircraft at a fast pace without decreasing latteral spacing.

This should be good. Have you thought of releasing the "mock cross country" flights before hand so we can make our flight plans and weather predictions. That way we can see where we differ in waypoints, altitude, fuel burn

Don’t need a timer if you’re on an ILS. You go miss when you hit your DH not when you hit your time.

Idk I prefer the knobs to touch screens and the g1000nx is pretty nice

Yea our school just upgraded to G3X which I kept calling g1000 until I learned the difference. In turbulence, which is every day, buttons are way easier to hit than the touch screen lol. But they’re both great options
