I didn't remove the cover on top of the steering column. The way you do it seems easier. - Thanks for the tip!

on an Audi S3 there is no need to remove the top of the steering colomn. just push up on the plastic top cover and then pull hard towards you and it pops out to reveal the screws. long neck screwdrivers where the only way I could get the scews out, they are in tight, tighten them a bit first then unscrew. WD40 helped i think :)

Lim Lai Aik, I have an Audi 1.8T 1997 MODEL, it has lost its display panel programming. The ignition switch does not recognize the key anymore. Also the display has gone funky. It displays strange fake messages and alerts. Can you fix the display cluster panel. And how much will it cost. Thank you in advance.

Just scanned my car today. None of the warning lights work. only thing working is speed, tach, volt, gas, oil temp and left turn signal. Scan tool can't even get into the cluster. Please send me contact info. Or better yet post it up. Im sure you will make bank off all the Audi fans asking. We take pride in our cars working right.

I have an 2001 Audi A4 my cluster is stuck on 77000 miles and it does not show mph on speedometer ,what could be issue for it not working ??? If replaced will it show how many miles since I’ve been driving it and also get the speedometer working to show my speed

Hey Lim Lai Aik, you say on your video to "Send it to me" - can you replace the LED display if i send you mine? Do you repair them yourself OR send them somewhere else? Your video is great to take it off BUT now I don't know how to replace the LED NOR have the right tools to do so. Thanks.

Once unplugged will you get all your information back working ie miles etc when you plug it back in . Or will miles be zeroed ?

Question do you think if someone where to remove the cluster and put it back it would it cause the car to go in limp mode? Could the connection pins braver damaged and turn the car into limp mode ideas?

Some of the lights on my cluster are not working so after this step, probly take the back plate off to replace the bulbs right? Thanks!

I figured out how to get the cluster out on my A4, but can you just take out the plexiglass? There is something on the back side of mine that looks like a scratch but I think it is something that could be cleaned if I can get behind there. There is also some dust and dirt in there. I heard the plexiglass was glued on so there was no way to take it off without breaking? Any advice?

I have a A4 B5 99.. BUT mine does not have the LCD in the center.. BUT I do have a cluster with an LCD in the center laying around.. Plugs / connecters chould match up, right? ECU takes on the LCD just fine, right? Were there any issues? Id like to swap mine out for the one with LCD in the middle. let me know,, if any one done this. thanks

Forget it. Did some research and I believe the bastard changed the cluster. I have a 00 a4 and the cluster does not match yours or other 00 models. I don't have the screen with the tach. I have an analog clock. He must have put lower milage older cluster to sell the car. Car Fax says the car has more miles then the cluster. Gonna buy the right cluster and rebuild engine. Just floored it and fucked up something. It vibrates and sounds like a Subaru.
