I come to KZbin for my singing portion of my worship now and go to church in time for the sermon. That’s what it has come to at 71. But here’s a question… Why did they have to let go of our hymns? We take up at least 1/3 of the congregation… Why can’t they include them all? White drop off the history of these glorious songs that move us to tears? Thank you Josh for putting them all in one place here.

True sister, all these hymns are not so much more played in church with drumms and a bonch of noice in church which is not revetent anymore ,with all these worldly songs in churches, the difference is not to be seen anymore. The gospel song and are just like the world song ,no difference, in them anymore.

We go to a church that only plays and sings the old hymns. It’s so beautiful to hear a lot of hymns before and after the church service, then we have a potluck lunch, cleanup and sing more hymns. The afternoon service is the kids playing the hymns they have learned on the piano, violin, guitar or whatever music instruments they are learning to play. We are like extra grandparents for the kids. It’s beautiful. 🤩

@@ironrose888 That's a really good church family. Wish it was like this in every church nowadays. But I don't think we will have to wait long. The Rapture is very close, and we will be with Jesus during the Great Tribulation, then we get to enjoy His 1000 year reign on earth, and churches will be filled with even more "family togetherness" and fellowship than you are describing. Just hang in there a few more years. It will be worth it.

My son still in the womb - third trimester now - loves listening to hymns and I try to sing along with all the ones I know and attempt to learn the ones I don't, so the lyrics are very helpful. He kicks a lot whenever he hears music or singing and I want to encourage him to grow up knowing hymns and the Gospel. I don't know what the future will bring but I and my husband are going to do our best to raise a goldly man with strong roots to withstand these stormy times. Thank you for the inspiration you provide.

Sister, husband, and sweet baby boy…just responding as I’m directed. Psalms says “lean not in your own understanding, acknowledge God in all your ways and He will direct your paths”. I have a baby grandson still in my daughters womb. I am ecstatic and I to am hoping to lead him, via Gods direction, to Jesus. My mother is in the final stage of Alzheimers’s and we’ve been listening to your music for the past 2 years. Goes a long way to keep her calm and peaceful. Reminds me of my late grandmother who also had alzheimer's and before being sent away where she could be better taken care of, she'd hum and sing every time we visited. I used to think to myself how beautiful it must sound to God as He listens to her sing.

Dear J Bright, I watched my beloved Mother succumb to Dementia and at the age of 101 she went home to the Lord Jesus. I had the blessing of taking care of her 24/7. She was at Hospice the last 4 days, but God had me with her the whole time, and this was during Covid. ❣️✝️❣️✝️❣️

Glory to God for this ministry. Thank you Josh. I work almost 3 years in an assisted living facility where I am activities coordinator for apx 25 residents whom have dementia. This is lovely because they may not remember the words, but they are of that generation which sure knows the music. With this they can see the words : ) I have shared this also with the concierge to play on loudspeaker. The entire building is soothed. Lord bless this ministry. God bless you all here. Thank you Josh. I grew up in the remote village in the Philippines. My Father learned to read notes to sing and lead the church choir. Your music brings all the songs he had to sing at home while I was growing up. The church had no organ or piano then. He had to sing the hymns first. He is now enjoying heavenly music.

I'm glad I found these. Thank you for putting the lyrics too. Often times I know the song but can't remember the words since it's been so long since I've actually been able to sing them. I miss these hymns. Churches these days just don't sing them anymore. It brings back fond memories of being able to sing these with my grandmother before cancer took her in 2010.

I also grew up with this music. My mother played the piano and organ at church and practiced at home as well. It was so much of my life. Nowdays, the music is different. Church is different. Yes, we all love your peaceful music that brings such calm to our lives, AND WITH lyrics!! With ALL of these comments and praise about YOUR style of music and great gospel hymns and choruses WITH THE LYRICS, why do you not do more WITH LYRICS? Hi Diane, thanks for the encouragement and suggestion. It takes me hours and hours to arrange, practice and record the amount of music I put on my channel. It's a full-time job in itself. Adding lyrics is also very time consuming so it's hard to make time for it. I don't have any employees helping me, I just do everything myself so there are lot of things that I would like to do but just don't have time for. I will try to do another lyric video in the future.
