exactly. I love getting lost in songwriting. It's cathartic and spiritual for sure. And thanks...I was inspired by a few things but it led me back to beginner's mind...Like how I use to explore the fretboard with NO thought of chords, scales, rhyme or reason. So it was like damn, I have a really good intuition due to all of the years put in...so let me tune to Open D (which i'm not very familiar with) and just EXPLORE the fretboard with no thought but simple intuition and curiosity. I'll be doing more of it!

It's such a good way to get back to that "beginner's mind" and approach the guitar as if it's a new instrument (that you already happen to have the skills for).
