They don’t realize how delicate economic balances can be. I know about these things- I installed a geothermal heating/filling system in 2006. I dealt with an inept municipal bureaucracy who pretended to support these things but could not work out the permits. It took weeks of my own time.

@@TheEducator89 the UK predicted "maybe 40,000" deaths from covid... We're in the 100,000's.... By your logic, our scientific models aren't extreme enough and under-predict the outcomes. Models are very good at predicting factual outcomes to inputs - what they aren't good at is predicting human behaviour. The idea of 40,000 deaths was based on the assumption that the population (and the government!) Would take the threat to life seriously, self isolate, wear masks, not go around spitting on people.... Etc. However the population as a whole, and the UK government, didn't react responsibly, in the fashion scientists suggested, and so we have more than 3 times the number of deaths predicted. The same is happening with climate change, models predict huge numbers of deaths if we don't act reasonably now.... However time and time again we have shown that we're unwilling to take necessary action, and so the actual outcome will likely be worse than that predicted by models.... Infact scientists have started modeling these outcomes, and these outcomes are held to be most likely by the scientific community.... Then you go further, and scientists have modelled worst case scenario out comes, leading to scientific papers such as Jim Bendalls deep adaptation paper. Either we stop saying they're all crazy, and actually act on climate change, or we look like absolute morons when their "crazy" predictions come true.

​@@jennifermccarthy6733 where I live we are off the gas network so many use night-time electricity to heat their houses. in 2002 the cost was 2.37p/unit; today it has just gone up to 15p/unit. the reason is because we do not use the cheapest source generation which is coal + subsidies to pay for windmills which don't always work. how do you expect the poor to pay 700% more for their heating? please answer me that. i don't use my night-storage heaters anymore; instead wear 7 jumpers and two wolley hats and 3 pairs of woolley socks when the freeze sets in, and three pairs or woolley trousers. my house stinks of mildew. i have cold showers in the mornings 2 out of every three days. you get used to it in the end. i never had central heating growing up so can cope. it has nothing whatsoever to do with insulation. do you receive an income from climate funding btw? and stop scaring our children with your nonsense please. i will happily debate you on any question of the science and easily prove to you this is all utter irrational ignorant hysteria you are peddling. sorry for the rant.

Everything about Gabby in this interview gives me the impression of a petrified, isolated and brainwashed adolescent who's clearly out of her depth in this reality check she's receiving. Insulation your home completely can have serious problems. It would be like living in a bubble. Bacteria would form like never seen before. Air quality would be very low. Once you step outside you would pick up disease quicker more cold and flues. Plus what Bacteria you have in you home would now be loose on others and form into something more dangerous. You need a flow of outside air flowing through you home all the time. I think Insulation gone to far is dangerous for all. Climate will change with time and has done for millions of years.
