Incidentally I got my house insulated about 10 to 15 years ago with a government grant when Gordon Brown was prime minister. But my bills are still hight. While I sympathise with the lady, given the large and powerful vehicle she was in, she was taking a chance with her 'nudges', it could have gone very wrong and she'd have been criminally liable and responsible for potentially crippling back injuries etc etc. - entirely understandable but not advisable. Best to accept you'll be a bit late, turn the car around, reverse up to them and blow exhaust over them for a while, maybe empty any water containers you have over them, then go another way.

As you said (before you ruined your good post by advising poisoned gas attacks) best to accept lateness. But she didn't accept it.
