Thank you for your work Tito. It is hard to find people who get me jacked up about insurance. I've been licensed for less than a year and marketing is difficult, my friends and family think it is a "scam" (can't fix stupid although they're wonderful people), and I find myself always trying to justify to myself why I chose this industry. I didn't know ANYTHING about insurance coming from a medical background and some sales jobs but the more I learn the more I get it. Content like this is a goldmine for me because I need to understand the REASON I do what I do. My approach today is "When I write this policy, I will 100% be filing claims so do the best for the customer. I like working because I like getting regular people like myself money from giant Fortune 100 compan(ies.)" Working for an ethical company and with value-driven people able to think about more than just "making sales" is what has kept me going these first months and I hope I can continue to build a inner belief in what I'm selling. If I can only believe in what I sell and know the details, I can do stuff which amazes myself. This is what I struggle with is really BELIEVING in what I sell since I've always been programmed that insurance is a "scam." Your content is helpful to me in real life and I appreciate your work and passion for this rarely discussed topic.

@@JCarter3000 my biggest worry about settling down in this industry is I’d like to see developments continue to happen. I don’t want to be in an industry held back by the status quo. Im young and I love brainstorming and bringing new ideas into application. Im 22, wbu? I just sometimes feel like I’m too young for this industry. My clients are always older and I have to relate with them the best I can which is sometimes difficult because of the age gap
@JCarter30002 жыл бұрын
@@niktak4658 I feel young (some days:) wish I was 22 again. My brother is your age and I think he feels the same. I'm early 30's now. I understand your worry somewhat I think. Maybe you want something more than just a "regular job" and I get that for sure. Sometimes I catch myself thinking "well is this it? Wow it's boring AF." I've done a lot of different work/jobs (graduated HS during the housing crisis) but none of them kept me interested/committed. Did cashier, hospitals/clinics doctor's in healthcare but couldn't take the ppl dying on me, delivery driver, product sales, retail, construction/plumbing, lumberjacking, etc too many to list. The way I see insurance sales now is I don't HAVE to stay in it forever if something better comes along, (I still look on LinkedIn and Indeed) but for now it's a good way for me to meet more people in the business-world/network and accumulate cash for the future. I've had my own small business(es) before and mann it's tough AF. My favorite thing about insurance is that there is no other business I can imagine with an upstart cost of ~$100 (for an insurance license) which allows you to bring in the kind of money insurance sales does if you work at it (so I've heard, today was a good day but still pretty new. The bad days/weeks are bad though in straight commission sales.) Hope this finds you well.

@@niktak4658 Imo insurance will be around for the long haul (but insurance agents may not.) Govt bailed out AIG and insurance companies and subsidizes the industry just like banks. If you are already in the industry and want to change it you will be on the leading edge but it's definitely a status quo kinda job atm. What kind of brainstorming do you like? Do you want to do something more meaningful?
