Hi Chad, fellow Texas motorist here. On my motor home, hail hit in 2019 to the EPDM roof membrane. The hail was golfball size....spiky protrusions. Water probably seeped in through the pinholes and caused the lauan plywood to start de-laminating . I kept the vehicle covered with tarps & I ran a dehumidifier whenever parked in the driveway. I brought the vehicle in for inspection and repair before the 2 year time frame expired (May 2021 ). It has been at Camping World since Dec 2020 and I have been struggling to get SF to verify the claim and damage approval. I will now be informed to talk about the roofing / laminate and not refer to anything using the term "rot". It is different from a shingled/nailed decking, but none-the -less decking for attachment for the glued on EPDM membrane. Big thanks. JwgK

This guy is correct to an extent.... basically stick to the basics.... installation or repair could not be completed due to ...... On a covered loss in some states not all the means to complete repairs if issue rise due to issue unrelated the loss. Additional coverage could be available to assist the claims process to complete the repairs. People know this fact! We are all people and the adjuster is the messenger to the insurance carrier! Meaning no matter how you explain it the message could be delivered differently. So, remember this valuable thing.... After your claims is filed and inspected let the insurance complete the process! Deposit the first check from the insurance ASAP. Because your mortgage company maybe on it. Then after it is done.... get an estimate (call a contractor(s) and file for a supplement! But DONT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THE CONTRACTOR! There may still be questions but this should keep you going and safe. This video again has some meaning but he doesn’t give you the details of the policy. Think of your policy as a first date. There are things you should not talk about and others that really do not matter. lol. Good luck!

As an IA, if you have knowledge of the damage or destruction and internationally conceal it from your Insurance company by definition that is Insurance Fraud, concealment, and Misrepresentation. If you are a competent licensed inspector, ethically one should make suggestions to the Insured about repairs, mitigation, or restoration when they are found during inspection without misrepresentation. This was a deeply disturbing video. Since I am in TEXAS I feel it is my duty to call the Texas builders association and the Attorney Generals office, since you are all about promotion calling the TDI!!!

Why would you give this a dislike, this person is simply stating facts. The dislikes are from the insurance company or they are my neighbors named karen.

Even in paradise, the ego will complain. Love is all powerful, nothing can prosper against it, for suffering will be struck down with conviction and righteous malice, facing suffering with the truth of it's foolish, ignorance and cowardice.

This video right here is gold.. Chad what wording would you recommend when requesting them to cover the non solid bailable sheathing??

I would just let them know that I have no choice but to also replace the decking because the local building codes require it. If they push back, show them the codes and tell them that they can't force you to break the law. Hope this helps. Keep grinding, my friend. - Chad Michael 👊👊👊😉

Chad, What if the policy doesn't have an ordinance and law better known as code upgrade?

Chad, first off I want to thank you for the invaluable content! Are you saying that decking can deterioration can be covered in the claim?

A job I have going on has serious sheathing issues... Its sagging, & the rafters have seen better days... Would you bring a structural engineer out, or just take pics, & try to supplement???
@InsuranceRestorationTraining5 жыл бұрын
Wow... what a great question. I would say if you have a structural engineer available and they recommend replacing decking, DEFINITELY! And if you go that route, that would more than likely be all you will need. Good luck and please let me know how it turns out for you. Thanks for watching and for commenting, brother. - Chad Michael 👊👊👊😉
