I just discovered this game on gamepass and loving the realism. So many times I have forgotten to check my ammo and have given the enemy the audible “click” from an empty chamber. It makes you take a step back and check your equipment!

CoD is an arcade shooter, not a milsim. I don't know why you would want it to turn into one. There are plenty of fully arcade games and plenty of fully milsim games. CoD as a mix of both is the only alternative, which is the main reason why people can't just ditch CoD even with all of its problems. I don't know why you would want to lose that too.

Insurgency Sandstorm, i been playing since early Insurgency on the Source Engine, what makes it so good, its basically a Milsim game with Battlefield/Call of Duty like gunplay, like a perfect balance & combination gameplay, its either you take it easy or just rush in and no one would likely to complain about it.

There are a fair few forests in the middle east so greener maps like the concept shown aren't far fetched for the setting. A factory map in a Kazakh pine forest similar to parts of Verdansk from Warzone 1 would be dope.

If there is going to be another Insurgency, they should expand it into a large scale shooter. Basically just keep the hardcore gunplay, movement, realism and proximity chat and create a game that blends something like Squad/Battelfield/DAYZ. Call it "Insurgency: Deployed" and let us mod our own servers and venture out into gigantic maps with 64+ players. They would need to implement more long-distance gunplay and ballistics though. Sandstorm is very CQB oriented.

I started playing Insurgency since the HL Mod days when it was still in Beta. I don't even play the regular competitive mode anymore, pretty much just 100% Coop. It tickles my hardcore shooter with casual gaming mode itch. The gunplay is just spot on between hardcore/casual, and there are so many good guns that are well modelled and still feel fun to shoot after years. Great game, especially on sale. Recommended.

I want a gaming PC but on I’ve always be on PS and on PS4 I can’t think of a better FPS game? I’ve been playing for about a year now and I’m just broke level 800 yesterday. The née train yard map is challenging and I like it. I like all the maps honestly. I wish they would make a jungle/woods map set in different locations/countries. Maybe even a different enemy? I know it’s “Insurgents” but would be cool to go against say for example maybe North Korea, Germans, Russians could go on and on. The Russian would work both ways as you could be the insurgents and it would be historically accurate since Russia invaded them at one point. Cool video here and good work.

I'm pleased they stuck with their guns and rode this one out instead of abandoning it like they did with Day of Infamy, I just wish their armour system was a little bit more unified in how it actually worked, since it still feels like heavy armour is completely pointless to wear outside of being able to eat an extra bullet from most weapons.

This game is so good, especially for being released in 2018. Great controller support, lots of game modes, and you can always get in games. There is a slight learning curve when it comes to shooting, but it's not that bad.

OG Insurgency was the best. I have nearly 800 hours on it and I'd still be playing it now if the servers were populated. Sandstorm is definitely good, but it misses something that the original game had in my mind. TTK is higher, maps are more complicated... not sure exactly what it is.

The G3A3 is the best sniper rifle in the game. You can use it whenever you want. 20 rounds of 7.62 Nato, Bipod, 4x Scope, Flash hider, only costs 10 Supply, leaving you room for a heavy carrier and a Sidearm. Do not use the suppressor because gunshot noises are only a problem in CQB.
