Welcome back to Phasmophobia! In this video we check out the latest weekly challenge and this one is quite messed up. It was supposed to be fixed to have 3 evidence but I have checked with the devs and they accidentally messed this up so the challenge still has 2 evidence which makes it MUCH harder than it should be... ENJOY!

So for context because this was driving me insane: This challenge used to have 2 evidence which made it insanely hard on top of everything else. I talked about this with the devs and they agreed so they intended to fix it and put it at 3 evidence instead. They put this in the patch notes as well (that they changed it to 3). Now it turns out that that fix DID NOT WORK and it still has 2 evidence. So that's why I'm going crazy trying to find 3 evidence during this video because that's supposed to be the case but it's not. So the devs accidentally made this challenge insanely hard again.

My buddies and I thought it was a 0 evidence challenge, we ran out like 5 times and the only evidence we got was orbs when it was a mimic 😂

My Hunt 1: I enter and I hear interaction. "Are you here?" *Spiritbox breathing heavily. My hunt 2: I hear multiple twinteractions, (I'm terrible at detecting twin speeds tho.) but as I knew that devs said that there are 3 pieces of evidence now I found 2 of 3 evidences. only emf was missing and I spent over 5 minutes watching emf board in the van and not a single emf5 spike. My hunt 3: mimic though that I won't notice the difference between revenant and a fcking thay

@@Anvekeen As long as you aren't trapped in a hiding spot it's fine, even a 150% deogen can't catch a player with 50% move speed and sprint turned off.

My first deo made my friend laugh. We were in Bleasdale in one of the upstairs bedrooms. I stand near the bed to ask it a question and the heavy breathing scared the crap out of me. I had never heard it before. My friend laughed so hard and then turned to our van buddy and said, "We can go now."

My friends and I kept dying every time we enter lol, the ghost just somehow always knows where we are, and the ghost being so fast we can't even hide anywhere as it has a 90% chance of walking to our hiding spot.

It's a woodwind bug, happened to me multiple times on regular runs and I started getting suspicious. Turns out others had the same issue. Seems like it's the containers next to the center tree and the barrels to the right of the front gate that don't work.

Question about Raiju: This is a very specific question, if flashlights are turned off in the game settings, if you bring it into the map and turn it on, will the Raiju still be affected by it? So, you have the flashlight in your hand, the power is toggled on, but it doesn't work because the game settings don't allow it to. Will Raiju still register that as an electronic power source and be quicker near it, or does it just become a dud object?

Absolutely hated this challenge. I don't understand what is supposed to be challenged either, I guess the players determination to get it done and collect 5k. It took me well over 20 odd tries to get it over 2 days and most of those kills were just annoying "trying to get to the ghost room/hiding spot before the hunt starts" deaths. It doesn't help this map is so open either trying to dodge LoS on the ghost is quite difficult when it can see you from across the map. I could've gotten more from just playing the game normally in the time I wasted on this challenge. Glad to be done, hope it gets reworked for next cycle. The 2 evidences don't bother me all that much, the 150% speed does however, the very limited amount of hiding spots as well because they amplify each other.

The only reason I even bothered to do this challenge after like 2 hours of failed attempts was for the achievement of doing a bunch of weeklies.

Different players have different skill levels. There's nothing wrong with having challenges that are designed for more skilled people, and challenges that are designed for less skilled players. This particular challenge is meant for the more skilled players. As a gold trophy player, I enjoyed this one (got it 3 out of 3 attempts, had raiju / phantom / demon) as it wasn't the typical "walk in, get evidence, walk out" and actually made me work for it.

@@s.r.823 Or you could realize that I was using that to add further context to my response to OP's statement "I don't understand what is supposed to be challenged either, I guess the players determination to get it done and collect 5k". It was a fast and effective way to explain the reasoning behind why a more skilled player would enjoy the challenge with a specific anecdotal example, rather than just stopping with "well it's for better players" and leaving it at that as a matter of subjective interpretation.

Got a deo (who killed me as I ran out of my hiding spot), a Banshee who kept singing and roamed to me to try and hunt and a Wraith who also tried to hunt on top of me. Glad I got off so easy with this challenge, absolute horror when you get Goryo/Yurei/Spirit etc.

If you know you have a banshee then try to stand on top of the cross. it will usually try to hunt near you, so standing in the cross's range will prevent the banshee from hunting right away.

You start at 0 sanity on the challenge and there was no appreciable decrease in activity during the match. Oh... and several ghosts would beeline to your hiding spot, especially the bathroom stalls.

This challenge was so hard, I had to co-op with my inexperienced friend in order to get 3 correct. He mostly helped me get evidence items out and place salt and stuff. My favorite game, though, was when my friend was already dead and the ghost started a hunt after turning off the power, and I only had time to try a hail marry and hide in a large tent, which didn't work, but as the ghost turned the corner and saw me, I saw a puff of breath come out of the ghost, so I yelled at my friend "HANTU HANTU, PICK HANTU" and in the last seconds of my death we both picked hantu and got the last ghost correct.

I had so much trouble with this challenge! I tried it on my own, and came desperately looking for this video, which wasn’t out yet. I had to get my friends to join. I was the sacrifice during the first hunt, and for the second they all hid and I followed the ghost to find out where it came from, monitor speed, and obake watch. We definitely didn’t do it as developers intended, but we did it!

This challenge was difficult, but it wasn't actually the challenge that made it difficult. It was the map choice combined with unreliable hiding spots. I've got about 700ish hours in this game and have died less than 50 times so far. This challenge alone added 3 deaths to my count - this week's ghosts just hit differently.

I got so lucky on this weeks challange, a banshee scream within 1 minute and the others were a rev and a thaye. I just ran to a hiding spot and listened because I thought it was a no evidence challange^^

I actually didn't use evidence to get my ghosts because I didn't need to. I had a Raiju, Thaye, and Obake. The Raiju sped up near the dots and emf, the Thaye hunted almost immediately after set up time was over and was hella fast, and the Obake I hid behind the tables and watched it shapeshift twice in the same hunt xD

Speaking of things they didn’t fix, *in this particular challenge* the Goryo isn’t actually a Goryo and roams to at least 3 different ghost rooms. I’ve had it happen to me 3 different times

Same thing happened to me with a yokai. Worlds quietest yokai, tried spirit box for 20min right on top of the ghost and got nothing.

Me and a friend tried this challenge. In 5-10 minutes, the ghost hunted, started zooming around, and either saw us hiding through the window of the tent it went into, or just ran into us by accident. We decided to just go back and play our normal nightmare mode games instead.

@@diwucalberich462 Moroi starts off super speedy like a thaye, but it also speeds up with line of sight to become the fastest ghost in the game. On 150% ghost speed its footsteps will sound like a woodpecker. Oni is almost completely visible during hunts. When it goes invisible, it will reappear almost instantly. Regular ghosts spend like 50% of the time visible and 50% of the time invisible during a hunt.

Day 2 of recommending Insym to play Grounded. Original Comment: If your looking for a game similar to The Forest and that would have a very long series, i reccomend the game Grounded on steam. Its basically 'Honey I Shrunk The Kids' as your trying to survive in a massive backyard as a shrunken kid. Its a super fun game with story, lore, collectables, boss fights, you name it. I highly recommend and would love if you checked it out!
