Intaglio Collagraph and Monoprint Hybrid... (combining two printing techniques)

In this video I demonstrate how I created a hybrid print using an intaglio collagraph with a monoprint. I use a plastic perspex plate for a monoprint and 7 different collagraph plates fitting together like a jigsaw.
I use a bit of acrylic gesso to create interesting textures as well as some tissue paper and wood glue.

It doesn't matter if it's food, wine, art, science, it's somewhat important to use the terminology internationally understood, and if teaching: a bit important to get right. It also speaks to the credibility of your education and participation/experience within the field, as it's a shared language. So it's not at all about snobbery. You might have the wrong part extracted in surgery if there wasn't a requirement of using the agreed latin term and pronounciation. In this case it's just helpful information for the artist in question. I presume she's autodidact which by no means suggests she's a lesser artist than academics. But here's an example: if you said Gallo with an English J it would be understood as Giallo which means yellow. I've heard artists say Gouache wrong on yt on tutorials too. Typically Americans are lousy at French pronounciation which makes home grown American chefs unintentionally hilarious at times. Fashion terms are another source of hilarity. Remember the film Pretty Woman, where the young girl calls her exclusively giften gown a "Versays" instead of Versace? In my country some people say sucheeney instead of Zucchini. It doesnt matter if you're not in hospitality or food. But does if you are serving international guests. No big deal, just super handy. The English correct people on the names of UK locations and Whisky names ALL the time.
