You are a life saver with this information! Ever since summer started my diesel has been hard starting and shutting off after running for awhile. It finally dropped into the 70s and boom, started up perfectly normal. I'll have to get one of these sensors and see if that fixes it.

​@j.j.aguilar No, but I know what it is now. With my 96 crown vic it's an EGR valve and my 98 mustang it's a mass air flow sensor.

Just symptoms. I will point out that my mustang has a custom tune so the light has been turned off. Not sure why my crown vic wasn't throwing a light though.

Thanks bro! I was getting bank 1 and 2 lean codes, cleaned the sensor with MAF cleaner, still coming up. had it checked at dealer and it was reading way higher than ambient temps. replaced and all good!

Mine is an o4 Cummins 3500 and it's very hard to start under 60 degrees sometimes even in the mid to high 70s. But once it stsrts it runs great. Lots of power and it idles well.

Quick question, my truck had the codes for the Maf sensor and also the intake air temperature sensor, i cranked my truck and disconnected the maf sensor and my truck shut off, doesn’t that mean my maf sensor is good, if not if I change the maf sensor will it fix the intake air temp sensor issue

9 videos of the list of where I can find the iat sensor on a 2013 Toyota Corolla and still not showing me where it is one guy tried saying the mass air flow sensor was the iat sensor I just cleaned to clear the P0171 code now I have P0113 code so.

What is a normal reading? My obd2 says my IAT is 215 celsius when it was a normal cool morning. Is 215 a bad reading?

Same symptoms here. I replaced the fuel pump with check valve but it did not help. Was this your issue?

For me the solution was i had to fix my TIPM. I had a jumper wire in the fuse box, it was taking power from ACC (accessories) and powering the fuel pump with it. The reason it fails when cold is because the car takes like a half second longer to start, and it’s JUST enough delay to make the fuel pressure drop to zero. ACC power gets turned off when you crank the starter, so the fuel pump turns off briefly while cranking. On warm days the engine starts up before fuel pressure drops. The fuel pump relay is 14$ on amazon and i soldered in the replacement myself. You can also just replace the whole tipm from a junk yard or new. I’ve been driving the truck like this for a month now without the jumper wire and i have had zero issues starting since

Chevy? Get your fuel pressure check. Rent the equip for free with a deposit from your local parts store, they usually refund you when you give the parts back.

Will a bad IAT sensor also cause the air recirculating button to not work? On my 2007 PT Cruiser the recirculating button turns on if the car sits for a while but then turns off a few minutes after the heat is on. I'm in PA. Thanks in advance.

Could you get symtom where you press the gass pedal and when you release it you get a engine bump feels like a jolt? and also I get go response in 1st and 2nd soon as in 3rd there is like a 1 second delay and boom its responding

I replace IAT sensors and air filter, clean the carburetor but none of these work. The only thing that clear everything is clear the error message and everything goes clear for a few motnhs then it goes back again. But when it come to state inspection because they see no problem at all they will tell you to drive it around for 50 miles so that your problem will come out!

It might be the fault from time to time because of the wiring issue (corroded or poor contact). I have something similar....looks like there is nothing wrong with the sensor but with wires and electrical connectors...

I cant find mine at all...theyvsell the part for my truck but everything i read says my iat sensor is integrated in my maf sensor.....2008 f150 4.6 They sell the iat sensor but theirs no where to put it!

What you have is a MAP. Normally a Maf connector has 3 wires (power ground and ecu reference voltage) but in somw vehicles inxluding yours, the manufacturer combine the two into one resulting in a connector that has more than 3 wires; the extra wires providing info of the intake temperature to the PCM

it might be because you have broken wires and poor electrical connections in connectors....

would this rough idle occur at any rpm? Having an issue with a 93 v6 4.0 rough idle at all rpm. Almost like not hitting on all cylinders. coil pack has been replaced along with plugs and wires. Did clean the MAF but not sure about the location of the IAT sensor.
