Yes. The pressure at the port opening is lower than the TB opening due to the piston traveling down the cylinder bore (i.e., it is creating a vacuum).

I don't like that plenum design for Cyl 1... Which is probably why many have a steeper inlet angle and a bit more protrusion toward the throttle body. I like the simulation though!

Would a velocity stack on the inlet to the plenum speed the air flow into the plenum as well as the stacks already fitted to the individual inlets ?

How did you fetch the values for transient flow analysis like how did you get the value of pressure at the end of runner

hi brother. i would like to ask you something regarding the pressure inside the intake manifold. is the pressure at the throttle body higher than the pressure at the intake runner during the valve opening?

Pressure waves tend to travel, so if it is the pistons that sucks the air through the system then at valve opening the negative pressure wave would start there. Or you could check the video at X0.25 speed to see the behavior of the pressure.

how do I make the flow vary from runner to runner ? in my case the flow enters from intake and is divided into 4 equal streams in each runner. How to do this firing order sequence like you did ?

make a transient simulation as if there is only one passage through one runner (rest of them shut); take the engine stroke sequence as a guide on when to open the runner. also, it looks like you are blowing air into the intake, however it has to be at atm pressure, no forcing of air. simulate each runner as it is sucking air (below atmospheric pressure, like a vacuum)

I combined data that I got from sensor measurements while engine testing with my own approximations; working with incomplete data is part of being an engineer:)

Same as my car... Cam is upside-down and slighty retarded a couple degrees . I noticed it ran smoothly, I honestly dunno why.
