INTAKE MANIFOLD GASKET LEAK CAUSING ROUGH OR LOW IDLE??

How do you know your intake manifold gasket is causing rough or low idle? A worn intake manifold gasket will cause a vacuum leak and disrupt air and fuel mixture. It will also affect engine performance and cause poor gas mileage.

I'm hoping my intake manifold gasket is the cause of my misfires on '03 Honda CRV. I Pulled the head out and got it resurfaced to complete a head gasket job. Followed the vehicles service repair manual of course. Figured I'd go ahead and replace the timing chain/guides too since its at 160k miles. Changed water pump and thermostat/housing as it overheated on the previous owner due to a broken serpentine belt. Started right up after the repairs were made and almost immediately got a misfire on cylinder 4. I shall add that all coil packs and spark plugs were replaced with the proper NGK requirements. Started it again the next day and got misfire on cylinder 2. Now about a week later on cylinder 3 which of course triggered the random misfires P0300. Aside from those misfire codes it popped a P1077 for the IMRC vacuum solenoid. Tested and no good so waiting on replacement. The Intake Manifold gasket is the only one i didn't change because it "looked" good and didn't see any cracks on it (I know I know. Did all that work so i might as well have changed it). So I'm currently at a halt here. Thinking if that faulty solenoid valve and IM gasket are both at play here causing those misfires. P0300, P0302, P0303, P0304, P1077. Thanks for reading my story! Maybe coolant is getting sucked into the combustion chamber. That's what the problem was with my Econoline van.

Did a smoke test and it seems like the whole bottom end of gasket is leaking. Have a 2010 crv. Having low idle at stop around 600rpm. My question is: will a leaking gasket make a rattle sound under load/ acceleration? Or is there any distinctive sounds it can make beside a obvious hissing sound.

Can this cause high idling in the cold start after driving for 10-15 kms it becomes stable

Yes it can. It will cause vacuum leak and trigger P0300 random misfire code
