Intarsia - Adding Multiple Strands

Great tutorial!!! I actually get it; you just need to pay close attention when watching. For new colors that can really be old colors going straight across, you always need to add a new batch of yarn that is really the old color so that it is uniform and makes sense. Thank you so much for your tutorials and help.; I really appreciate it. "B." Every change in pattern can create a new batch of yarn that's needed even if it is the same as the old color (new batch of the old color). I've officially been brainwashed; in a good way:) Thanks friend.

So, you look at the pattern in advance, create theses various balls of yarn that are green and white and then prepare them for the change as you are going across (keep picking up new balls of yarn as the pattern calls for although it really doesn't but it does to make it work). People need to watch & re-watch your videos because we deny ourselves the opportunity to become better knitters by thinking that it's too hard, extra patience.

Oh my goodness!!! This was extremely helpful! My first intarsia project and I picked one with 4 colours and repetitions of some colours.(lol!) Thank you so much! I now see what I missed at the start and why it doesn't look tidy. Am going to give it another go and am much more confident! Thank you!!!

I'm doing a seed stitch project. If the next color to be added is a purl stitch, do I reverse the placement of the new color. e.g., new yarn and the cross over in front and the tail in the back? Thank you for a great tutorial. Yours is the clearest I've seen.

Thanks. I get messed up adding a new color in purl side. Also when my pattern isnt in nice block work and its an irregular pattern like a flower with leaves etc... do you have any intarsia tutorial for those ? Ty

exactly. You want to avoid carrying the yarn across the back if possible.
