Help for Krista;A generic force field motivator:Could be a laboratory grade Tesla Force Field Generator.This would be an item that is approximately seven inches by ten, with a transformer, plus heavy transistors and capacitors, with controls that accumulates an electrical charge. How is the function simply connected when Q is undefined for y

The gradient function should be 2xy^3/2 + y + K because partial derivative with respect to y is equal to zero so must integrate to get g(y).. therefore 2xy^3/2 + y + k is function u want to plug P and Q into. Correct me if wrong

How would we calculate it if they were to give the r vector of the trajectory (path) and two points and the force vector?

u didn't integrate the equation and substituted the limits directly at the end .

No need to integrate cause f is a scalar potential. F = grad(f). Then f = integral F.dr

Starting 10.0 minutes you didn't integrate the funciton. You plugged in (2,4) and (1,1) and subtracted without integrating as far as I can see. Am I missing simething? Is this a speial property of the integral for the curve?

drjoephd no she input the potential function f into the line integral effectively saying f=del(f) which is wrong its the fundamental theorem for line integrals so if ScF•dr=Sc(del(f))•dr=f(r(b))-f(r(a)) where r(b)= r(a)=

Mansour Alkmim the integral is not wrong only thing wrong is he calls it the fundamental theory of calculus when in reality it’s the fundamental theory of line integral .
